On this day in 1960, Team USA clinched its first-ever Olympic gold medal in men’s hockey, beating Czechoslovakia 9-4 after scoring six unanswered goals in the third period🥇 The U.S. men have won two golds since: the “Miracle on Ice” in 1980 and this past Sunday on Jack Hughes’ golden goal in overtime.
