The modular line can be reconfigured as the robot evolves, with dozens more planned across the factory. The GoldenEye match in this video was never programmed. An AI generated it in real time, with the map, physics, and multiplayer all learned purely from data. Odyssey, a Palo Alto AI lab, raised $310M at a $1.45B valuation earlier this month, led by some big names like Amazon and AMD Ventures. Odyssey builds world models, AI that learns physics and cause-and-effect to simulate environments rather than describe them in text. Unlike video generators that produce one fixed clip, its models are interactive, predicting each next moment from a user’s actions in real time. Its Agora-1 model goes further, letting up to four players share one AI-generated simulation simultaneously, with no hard-coded rules. It learned both how the game plays and how it looks purely from data, acting as a self-taught game engine. The company believes world models are nearing a “GPT-3 moment,” the same kind of inflection point that turned language models from a research curiosity into the technology behind ChatGPT, only this time for AI that understands the physical world.

Yeah, pretty sure that Korea will win in non-China humanoid supply chains. The same way with memory and Sk hynix / Samsung. "The next three years are a golden time for Korea to become the number one player in Physical AI." From Bae Kyung-hoon today (Deputy Prime Minister for Science and Technology). "We have secured a strong manufacturing-based industrial infrastructure and world-class AI capabilities." I do think it's a little early rn to be filtering through the humanoid BOM to find investment opportunities though. But thematically, it's good to be aware that Korea will be ahead of the US and Europe on developing and commercializing the tech at a faster/larger scale.

South Korean humanoid supply chains will be crucial. For the upcoming humanoid production ramp. GS forecasts that 30% of humanoid components will come from South Korea by 2035. Due to their automotive industry expertise translating over into producing humanoid parts like actuators. Just for a quick tldr on actuators: - they essentially mimic human muscles/joints - actuators currently make up ~50% of the BOM for a humanoid. - Korea has an advantage in actuator production since they're similar to auto parts tech e.g. power steering, braking systems and autonomous vehicle tech. And "several Korean auto parts makers have already leveraged this know-how to gain a position among the leading non-Chinese suppliers of critical actuators for robotics." (GS) So for upstream humanoid exposure... It does seem like South Korea will have a massive role in being the key supplier for non-China humanoids. On top of their crucial position in AI supply chains with memory from SK hynix and Samsung...

🚨 SOUTH KOREA JUST UNVEILED $650 BILLION IN AI AND CHIP SPENDING. Samsung and SK Hynix announced a combined investment plan that could top 1,000 trillion won ($650 BILLION) over the next decade, alongside President Lee Jae Myung's push for balanced regional growth. Here's the breakdown: 1. Samsung and SK Hynix announce 800 trillion won($518 B) investment in four semiconductor fabrication plants. 2. 81 trillion won ($52.45B) goes into HBM packaging facilities. 3. 30 trillion won ($19.42B) over 15 years for next-generation memory tech. 4. Seoul's DRAM production is targeted to double in 5 years. 5. 18.4 gigawatts of AI data center capacity planned by 2035, starting with 8.4 gigawatts by 2029 from SK Group, GS Group, and Naver. Samsung's Chairman Lee Jae-yong said current capacity can't meet demand, with new investments also going into robotics, biotech, batteries, and chip substrates across multiple regions. Despite the scale of the announcement, both stocks fell. Samsung dropped -5.3%, SK Hynix fell -3.4%. A single semiconductor fab alone costs at least 60 trillion won ($40 billion) and takes years to build, so the actual supply increase from this plan won't materialize for years, while investors have to absorb the financing cost now. That's also why the Korea Exchange pulled a planned options launch tied to these stocks, the market is pricing in execution and funding risk over the headline number itself, especially with South Korea's market already down 10% in the past week on broader AI valuation fears.
