@Tanaka_L2 Robotics is the headline, but the real unlock is the infrastructure layer that enables identity, coordination, and settlement for autonomous machines.

Robotics has emerged as a hot new narrative, often called DePIN + Physical AI But I look at the broader robotics sector is booming with physical AI, humanoids, and autonomy. Just to realize that crypto specifically focuses on the decentralized infra layer that lets robots act as autonomous economic agents. Projects have raised tens of millions, several tokens show 30-180%+ recent growth, and major VCs are highlighting it as a 2026 theme. Top trending niches in Crypto-Robotics right now as per my witness: [1] DePIN / Machine Economy Infra Robots get onchain identities, earn/spend crypto for tasks, and operate as independent economic agents e.g., "robo-farms" or "robo-cafés" where robots generate revenue shared via NFTs. Leading projects: @peaq, @AIRA_Robonomics | $XRT. It enables the robot economy where machines transact globally without humans in the loop. Coinbase Ventures and others flag this as core to next-gen AI/robotics coordination. [2] Decentralized Data Marketplaces for Embodied/Physical AI Training Token-incentivized collection of real-world interaction data such as motion trajectories, grasping, sensory inputs… that centralized labs can't scale. This is the ChatGPT moment for robots imo, solving the data bottleneck for humanoid/general-purpose bots. Leading projects: – @PrismaXai - teleoperation data marketplace, – @NATIXNetwork - geospatial/mapping via phones, – @realRiceAI - minibot data collection, – @silencioNetwork - audio/noise data. – @StrikeRobot_ai - SR Agentic + SR Platform, build the new normal for robots faster. I believe Physical AI needs massive edge-case data; Then DePIN flywheels reward contributors and create high-quality datasets faster than proprietary efforts. [3] Spatial Perception & Mapping Networks Decentralized systems for robots to understand and navigate unstructured real-world environments. Leading projects: – @Auki - decentralized machine perception/posemesh, – @OVRtheReality | $OVR - crowdsourced 3D mapping, – @GEODNET | $GEOD - high-precision GNSS/RTK for robots & AVs. Essential for autonomy outside controlled factories; tokens reward data providers. Strong growth. [4] Open-Source Robot OS, Frameworks & Interoperability Layers "Android for robots" standardized, blockchain-enabled operating systems and execution layers to avoid vendor lock-in and enable cross-hardware AI agents. Leading projects: – @openmind_agi - OM1 OS + FABRIC identity/settlement protocol, – @Modulr_Robotics | $EMDR - decentralized robotics OS, – @codecopenflow | $CODEC - Solana-based AI automation/VLA execution for robots, – @rei_labs - Applied artificial intelligence research. Accelerates innovation and lets developers build once, deploy anywhere. [5] Modular Robotics + Hardware DePIN Tokenized/modular robot design, assembly, and deployment in sector like AI + IoT + DePIN integration. Leading: @UseRobora | $RBR.Lowers barriers for niche/custom robotics and ties hardware ownership to crypto economics. In a very short time, crypto is riding the wave of Physical AI, humanoids moving from pilots to paid work, cobots in warehouses/logistics, and AI + autonomy. The crypto angle adds the economic/decentralized layer that makes mass deployment viable. Morgan Stanley-style forecasts make the robot economy narrative feel inevitable. The robotics crypto category sits around $800M total mcap, with tokens like peaq, Auki, Geodnet, and Codec showing momentum. This space is still early, so it's high-risk/high-reward, but it's one of the clearest real-world utility narratives in crypto right now imho.

Important numbers to consider as Physical AI scales: For teleoperation and cloud coordinated systems, latency must stay below 100ms, with sub 20ms as the ideal. Yet, in real world 5G networks, tail latency spikes above 270ms are common during congestion or tower handovers. Jitter is even more damaging. When latency fluctuates between 20ms and 300ms, control systems cannot stabilize, leading to phantom braking, oscillation, and higher error rates. Then there is the handover problem. As drones, autonomous vehicles, and robots move, they constantly switch between cell towers. These transitions are highly unstable. Ping pong handovers can drive latency spikes up to 85 percent. At speed, even a 500ms delay can translate into positional errors of tens of feet, turning routine operation into a collision risk. This is not an edge case. It is a structural limitation of centralized networks. Roam offers a different path. By building a decentralized connectivity layer powered by everyday users, Roam turns the network into a distributed, real time data fabric. Instead of relying on fragile tower transitions, connectivity becomes continuous, adaptive, and strengthened through global participation. As machines take on more responsibility in the real world, network reliability becomes mission critical. Roam ensures the signal keeps up.

Why send data to the cloud when a robot can think for itself? 🤖 Robotics pioneers like Sensory AI, Circulus, and OversonicR are shifting to Intel Core Ultra Series 3 to enable inference-first workloads. By combining the CPU, GPU, and NPU on one piece of silicon, these robots process the traditional controls system along with vision and language locally. This means zero latency, better privacy, and the ability to operate entirely offline. See how the new standard for edge AI is hitting the floor at COMPUTEX 2026: ms.spr.ly/6015vpOy3

🇯🇵 1 in 3 Japanese companies are already using or thinking about deploying AI-powered robots, with automakers leading the charge. The driver is simple: Japan is running out of workers and robots are the plan. Japan just needs to hold off China and the U.S. first. They are giving Japan serious competition in the next generation of autonomous robots, and its old industrial giants don't have the edge they once did. Source: Reuters

A Glimpse Inside Matrix Robotics' Shanghai Factory Still relying on engineers for assembly (currently in the early stages) The video reveals a 27-DOF tendon-driven hand, similar in design to the Tesla Optimus hand. This facility is projected to produce 10,000 units annually, destined for deployment in various service-oriented applications.
CyberRobo@CyberRobooo

New "superman" Four months later, Shanghai-based Matrix Robotics unveiled the Matrix-3--yet another anthropomorphic humanoid robot situated on the left side of the "Uncanny Valley." Unlike Boston Dynamics' Atlas, which is designed for industrial settings, the Matrix-3 is a general-purpose humanoid robot intended initially for service-oriented environments such as supermarkets, hotels, and office buildings. Standing 1.7 meters tall and weighing 65 kilograms, the adult-sized robot features a full-body covering of biomimetic fabric integrated with tactile sensors, as well as humanoid biomimetic muscles. It employs linear joints rather than the mainstream rotary joints. Matrix claims it is capable of pulling or pushing a load of 200 kg. Optimus makes extensive use of linear joints (linear actuators). It is equipped with dexterous hands offering 27 DOF and boasts a battery life of 4 hours. The robot is powered by a model named WAVE(like an E2E World Action Model) Matrix states that it has already established a manufacturing facility in Shanghai's Zhangjiang with an annual production capacity of 10,000 units. The company plans to deliver 1,000 units this year, with the first batch scheduled for delivery by the end of June. Pricing starts at $99,000. Notably, Matrix founder Zhang Haixing previously served as a leader at Tesla China's Design and Research Center, where he was deeply involved in the early-stage R&D and design of the Optimus robot. This company seems to be delivering on the future envisioned for Optimus.
