They watch everything we do. They even posted some smoke & mirrors weasel words earlier in an attempt to deny having damaged the boat, but they can't get out of that one. We have the pics.

They told us in 2024 that our skills could easily be found elsewhere but the public wants to see K7 run. The Ruskin Museum has discovered it's not so simple & has hopelessly painted itself into a corner now. They'll have to throw testing & safety out of the window now.

@bluebirdk7 Fool that I am. I follow their facebook page. They’ve put up a lot of stuff about car parking arrangements,use of drones,model boats etc. But anything about how the preparations on bluebird itself are going? VERY little. 🤔

On top of all that there's the safety considerations. Because they've covered up the damage & modifications are they doing their due diligence on any safety implications & being totally transparent with anyone potentially affected?

They've cut out load-bearing structure & damaged the floors trying to fit a stock Orph' 101 that we told them repeatedly wouldn't fit. Then They've tried to cover it up. It's heritage crime. Damage caused by flagrant disregard of experts. They're not getting away with it.

They use a hydraulic pump driven by the engine.

It's a disgrace. And have they asked the experts to look over what's happened in case there's a gotcha that isn't obvious? Yet more unnecessary risk.

@bluebirdk7 After all the care BBP team put into keeping everything as near original as possible. This is a museum, supposed to look after old and important objects and keep them safe for posterity. Just so sad because it was all so unnecessary.

That should be, with no alterations to the hull whatsoever.
The engine needs fairly extensive modification but that's a consumable. The original fabric of Bluebird is absolutely sacrosanct.

All the RM had to do was follow the BBP's work. The BBP proved an Orpheus 101 could be fitted with no alterations to the hull. Why hasn't this been done?

@bluebirdk7 I cannot understand how any such mutilation can be justified. The previous engine was installed by BBP in a way that respected and maintained the frame of the boat.

@rob565uk We'll give the Ruskin Museum an opportunity to be up front & transparent about what's happened & if they fail there'll be a formal complaint to the relevant authorities.
