@MKeech2 Agree that it's an impossible exercise without improving competition ratios, I just think it's unfair to expect medical students to need to graduate needing a career plan from almost day 1! I certainly didn't

@robbamberger The risk with not doing this is that things become so competitive that it essentially becomes mandatory to have more and more years out to CV buff as things escalate. You could also improve competition ratios of course.

The way that doctors are punished for taking time to decide what job they spend the rest of their life in infuriates me, what's the point in rotational foundation training if not to expose to different specialties?

Amazing, car crash interview. Would love to see the response of my GP colleagues when asked if they are happy to provide anabolic steroids so a patient can run faster, jump higher. There are lots of issues with anti doping but the enhanced games couldnt be further from the answer

Almost random allocation of Foundation Doctors across the country is for me, just as big of an issue as some of the more talked about problems with the current NHS. Whole cohorts of doctors immediately lose faith in their employer and will be looking for their future exit plans
