CPG is insulated from AI because people still need to eat. But, AI gives CPG operators tools to create value faster than ever. It's a good time to be in the space.

I listened to @andrewjfaris podcast today. @robbfraser from Outway was on.
I almost teared up.
He put words to something I've always known but never said out loud.
What drives me isn't ambition. It's low self esteem. Seeking external validation.
Every milestone. Every win. It's never enough. Because I'm not doing it for me. I'm doing it to prove something.
And the worst part? I don't know how to stop.
The pressure keeps growing as the business grows. And I feel trapped.

@MehtabKarta If cc points are the primary driver of profit for a business, it’s not a real business.

For 79.7% of DTC brands, this is the line between profitability or not.
The number is joke but tbh its close lol.

No, it's not a joke Monthly invoicing will be required beginning April 1, 2026

@CreativesAndrew If cc points are the primary driver of cashflow for your business, you don’t have a real business.

The federal government is refusing to publicly release an agreement with the Musqueam Band that recognizes Aboriginal title over a vast area of Metro Vancouver. What is perhaps more perplexing is no mainstream media outlet has even reported on this agreement. dailyhive.com/vancouver/musq…

@deBeauxOs1 Don’t get gaslit. I pay more taxes than anyone. Almost all taxes come from top 1% earners. We pay for all the stuff you like and that’s fine. Government workers are the ones who don’t pay their fair share (they are your employees). Ask more of them.

The hardest part of scaling a company is outgrowing the version of you that built it.
In the early days, effort and outcome are directly linked. You grind, things move. But growth eventually makes that equation obsolete.
The business matures, the team strengthens, and the founder’s old identity (the one who outworked everyone) becomes a liability.
The real work shifts from doing to thinking, from output to input, from being the engine to being the spark.
Most founders resist this because stillness feels like laziness. It’s not. It’s where the next breakthrough lives.

ten years ago, I was sleeping on the ground of a 1 bedroom apartment in koreatown
roaches in the kitchen.
a homeless man was living in a closet behind the stairs of the building.
it was $1400. it was a MASSIVE step up.
Because the month before this, I was renting a bunk bed in a house of 14 guys.
3 rooms, 2 bathrooms. bunkbeds wall to wall.
the empty apartment with no parking was a castle compared to the bunk beds.
and ten years later...
I run a brand doing a million dollars a day.
I own a house in LA with a pool.
I married a wonderful woman with a kid coming very soon.
America is still the land of opportunities.
In ten years I went from roach filled apartment, sleeping on the floor, to multi millionaire.
never scammed anyone.
never sold a course.
never rug pulled.
you can make it in america.
I fucking love it here.
