Been thinking about housing as a human right. Which of course it should be. But provided by whom? In the US, folks say: “the state.” (by which the mean “the rich.” In some countries, it’s much simpler: kids take in their aging parents. Parents take in their stuggling kids. Friends take in struggling friends. So yeah, I guess housing should be a human right - it’s up to us to make sure that our family and neighbors have a roof over their heads if they can’t provide ther own. But the moment you define it as a stranger working for you to have that right, well that’s just theft.

What's one?

Authority and leadership are not to be confused. Authority can result from fear, leadership cannot. Authority can be given without merit, leadership cannot. Authority can be granted quickly, leadership cannot. Good authority, then, is built upon a foundation of leadership.

Loyalty and trust are not to be confused. Loyalty can result from fear, trust cannot. Loyalty can be given without merit, trust cannot. Loyalty can be granted quickly, trust cannot. True loyalty, then, is built upon a foundation of trust.
