A bizarre and cruel elimination for Papua New Guinea at the Pacific Games. After drawing with Vanuatu they lose out to them on goal difference in their 3-team group because Tuvalu didn't arrive in time for their game giving them a 3-0 win by default opposed to Vanuatu's 6-0!

I had a quick search this morning but couldn't find any more info on how this was resolved, though I note it ended 1-1. So a well matched set of teams in every sense. Any clarification on the details appreciated... @paul_c_watson you might like this. Ditto @Duncan_Gates. 4/4

While this was being resolved the TV pictures showed some earlier footage. My best guess is this is them trying out the alternative strip option to see if that worked any better. It did not. 3/4

I discovered something absolutely blistering with #chatGPT last night. It just makes up song lyrics and denies it straight to your face. It is as amusing as it is baffling. This doesn't work with something well known, say Hey Jude. But go a bit more obscure and... gold. 1/3
