@DuncanBannatyne @CatharineHoey @AndyBurnhamGM He comes with lots of baggage
In particular the grooming gangs in Oldham and Rochdale.
He buried the report and it took the resignation of a police detective Maggie Oliver to reveal what was happening

Last week I decided to throw my support behind @AndyBurnhamGM for leadership of the Labour Party and on to PM.
But I cannot do that now that I find out he says Transwomen. IE men. Should be allowed to use the ladies toilets. I can never support anyone that does this.
Biological Women must have single sex spaces.

This poor boy was running away from someone who stabbed him & stole his phone, but the police in the UK attacked him instead of his murderer!
Inevitable West@Inevitablewest
He wasn't a career criminal. He was a Russel group university student. State authorities assisted a foreigner in stabbing him to death. This is 100x worse than George Floyd.

Andy has spent a decade taking the credit for all good news in Greater Manchester, and blaming others for the bad news.
He has achieved nothing. NOTHING.
He promised to eradicate rough sleeping in 3 years - huge fail.
He gave us yellow buses and cheaper tickets - tickets subsidised by central government for 3 years, then what? Council tax has increased to contribute to this scheme. Plus, now the buses are political, we are seeing lots of strikes.
He has ignored the grooming gangs and created a cover up report.
The police went into special measures under his watch for ignoring 130k crimes.
But his PR team are top notch and that’s what really matters when you are dealing with a nation of fools.

@Artemisfornow @IsabelOakeshott The British police farce in action.
The College of Policing needs abolishing for starters and the need for new recruits to have a degree is nonsense, just recruit from ex military men and women including officers and we might have a proper force again

This is England …
A ONE year old BABY girl has been recorded as a crime suspect by police, after she inflicted 'minor injury' on another child.
Along with:
6 x two year olds
11 x three year olds
20 x four year olds.
Kent police say “Our focus is very much on understanding what has caused a child to become involved in crime so that this can be addressed”
Send help… or an asteroid 🤡

The fact that @AndyBurnhamGM never really cared about those victims will come back to bite him in the arse.
If I lived in Makerfield, I'd be well pissed off that he's using them as a stepping stone to get into number 10.

@ConnieKRO1 Go and live there I am sure you will love warm climate and cold winter weather

@Keir_Starmer How about being interested in the British people who have grown to dislike you and Labour.
How about calling a general election this year in September and see how you fare.

I condemn the deadly attack on a mosque in San Diego. My thoughts are with those affected.
I know many Muslims in the UK will be shaken by this, worried about their safety when going about their lives and attending mosque, and what it says about the times we’re living in. I understand those fears.
Violence like this does not happen in a vacuum. It grows in an environment where division and anti-Muslim hostility are normalised.
That is intolerable. We must all come together against it.

The establishment spent weeks hyperventilating that the “Unite the Kingdom” rally would be an army of dangerous extremists.
Then they actually looked at the crowd. Turns out it’s just normal working people—the folk you meet down the pub, at football half-time, or at church.
With Labour and the Tories barely scraping 40% between them in the polls, Starmer’s elite are absolutely terrified. The plain truth is that ordinary British patriots have simply had enough.

@CartlandDavid No they are just men in frocks with mental health issues

@JeremyVineOn5 I won’t be voting for Burnham did nothing about the grooming gangs in Oldham and Rochdale other than commission reports that he sat on.
He also wasted £millions on his failed ULEZ scheme intended for the City of Manchester that he decided he would extend it to Greater Manchester
English

@ByRakeshSimha He should be reinstated immediately and the BMA for allowing this should be investigated in fact the BMA shouldn’t be recognised any more by any government

Meet Dr Keith Wolverton, a genial British GP working in urgent care. During a consultation at a walk-in centre in Staffordshire, he asked a Muslim woman to remove her niqab because he had difficulty hearing her explain her young daughter’s symptoms. He cited issues with her English and the need to see her mouth movements for clear communication and proper diagnosis. She initially refused on religious grounds but eventually complied.
After her daughter received treatment and recovered, the thankless woman filed a complained that she felt “victimised and racially discriminated against.”
CONSEQUENCES: A Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service hearing found the doctor guilty of misconduct. He was initially suspended for 9 months. In 2026, Dr Wolverton was struck off the medical register (effectively sacked/banned from practising). All because he was concerned about the health of a child.

Andy Burnham in Makerfield, posing with dogs to push the “relatable man of the people” image.
This is textbook PR from a lifelong career politician: carefully staged optics over any real substance. It all feels so contrived and painfully obvious what’s going on.
While the country is shifting right, Burnham is still offering the same familiar Labour script that’s increasingly out of touch.
Next thing he’ll be kissing babies!

@Kristinartz Absolutely nothing she is enjoying her life I’ve got a relative who is sixty and she keeps fit and wears fashionable clothing and enjoys her lifestyle

I am proud and humbled to have been selected as Labour’s candidate for Makerfield.
These proud working-class communities represent the very best values of our country and they deserve so much better. It would be my honour to work for them every day, if elected as their MP, to achieve that.
Many people here feel Westminster isn’t working for them and they are right. I am standing to change that and get the voice of these communities heard loud and clear.
I am glad that this by-election has finally put the places that make up the Makerfield constituency into the national spotlight. They have been neglected by national politics for too long. It is a good thing that all political parties are now on the hook to tell the voters here what they are going to do for them.
More than anything, people need life to be more affordable again. As Mayor, I have brought in changes which are helping, such as the £2 fare cap, free bus travel for our 16-18 year-olds and removing the 9.30am restriction from older and disabled people’s bus passes. But there is only so much I can do from Greater Manchester. If elected, I will have a relentless focus on reducing people’s everyday costs and bills and well as securing the investment these communities need.
I have been an elected representative in Greater Manchester for 25 years. Throughout that time, I have fought for the people of the North West of England on so many fronts. I am now ready to bring the whole weight of that experience to fighting for the communities of the Makerfield constituency and would be privileged to be given that opportunity.
