@HMRCcustomers in regards to self assessment tax returns, if I held a gilt strip to maturity outside of a SIPP or ISA would I pay capital gains tax upon maturity on the difference between the purchase price and maturity value (£100), or would the difference be added as income?

@KingsofAnglia @Stuart_Watson Bring back Mick Mac. Just think what he could have done with an open cheque book. No1 job back at Portman road, stop conceding goals, score 1. And work from there. I was no fan of him at the end, but boy did he deliver with poor resources. All would be forgiven!
