@tplaner @PovilasKorop I agree. Only reason I don't use it more for personal projects is I use it for my day job 🤣

Probably a U.S. thing. There are still solid Laravel jobs out there, but I’ve heard a lot of startups here were bought by private equity, which often leads to offshoring and lower salaries. The demand just isn’t as strong as it once was.
To me, Laravel is still a no-brainer for any new project. Nothing provides more out of the box while staying this flexible, and the community behind it is one of the best in the industry.

@adsafayet for what?
dyslexia isn't an issue with my eyes. and i think if that is your response you should go do some research into accessibility 😅

i think it's probably an image problem. although laravel is battle tested and stands the test of time... js/ts always seems like the cool new thing.
but also i think a lot of developers start with frontend, which naturally leads them to sticking in the js eco system and branching out from there.
i am kinda brain dumping at this point, but i wonder if what laravel could actually do with is attracting more of a frontend crowd some how and making it easier for them to work with it - showing that actually it can make them just as productive, if not more productive with laravel...
food for thought (i am spouting this off on my lunch break)

@tplaner @PovilasKorop i wonder if this is a US thing.
in the UK i get invitations to PHP/Laravel lead jobs non stop. in fact i would go as far as to say those roles likely pay more too.
English

@PovilasKorop The problem isn’t community, it’s opportunity. There just aren’t enough well-paying Laravel/PHP jobs compared to Node, Python, Go, or even Java.
If we want new devs coming in, we need startups choosing Laravel again. Jobs attract developers, not the other way around.

@zenorocha absolutely deserve it.
resend has been a godsend for both personal and client work.
great work

@denicmarko that today, being able to code is not enough. you should be a problem solver and resourceful enough to know where to look for the solution.
especially with how easily information is available at our finger tips with AI.
