Gautam Gambhir said, "what undue advantage we have? We haven't practiced here for one day. We're practicing at the ICC Academy where conditions are 180° different. Some people are just perpetual cribbers. They've got to grow up".

@Kohinoo90329251 @_AsimH_ @BoothCricket Pakistan are prepared to travel to India, but India won't travel to Pakistan. The problems come from toxic hindu nationalism from the Indian government.
English

@_AsimH_ @BoothCricket You can blame the politics. But you can't blame the board or the cricketers. There is a larger picture involved that goes beyond cricket.
English

🏏The farce of 🇿🇦's itinerary at the Champions Trophy is just the latest example of cricket bending to 🇮🇳's will. Woe betide anyone who dares point this out.

English

@narain_vasanth @BoothCricket What a ridiculous argument. If India wasn't prepared to travel to Pakistan, fine, they should have withdrawn from the tournament and let SL or WI take their place.
English

@BoothCricket india wasnt going to tour pak, even if bcci wants. Let england play games in russia then we will talk about this, if they really felt india had advantage then may be there could have played in two venues instead of one to negate. I do think other boards need to pull up their socks

@Liam_smith22 @ItsAndyRyan @realNel727 @RpsAgainstTrump So which countries was he referring to? Luxembourg and Monaco?
English

@ItsAndyRyan @realNel727 @RpsAgainstTrump He already stated that he wasn't speaking about uk or France lol but hey that's isn't a story is it lol and to be fair the UK would last a day at best with the amount of troops and equipment we currently have

Seven years ago today in Salisbury, a former Russian military officer and his daughter Yulia, were poisoned by Russian agents on the orders of Putin, with the deadly nerve agent Novichok. Both spent weeks in a critical condition in hospital. A Wiltshire police officer, Nick Bailey, was taken into intensive care after attending the incident. Later that year, my constituent Dawn Sturgess, an innocent member of the public, died following contact with debris casually discarded by the Russian agents. When we reflect on the loss of life and the audacity of Russia’s actions we should be left in no doubt about the character and outlook of Putin. In today’s changing world we need to build an enduring security arrangement with our neighbours in Europe to protect ourselves from future threats and attacks. Russia is not our friend and we must be prepared for all manifestations of their malevolence in future.

@maxrushden @PhilippeAuclair @PhilKitro James Trafford has received 7 yellows this season for time-wasting. How can it be that the disciplinary rules are the same for a goalkeeper as an outfield player? A defender or midfielder can easily get the 10 yellows by game 37 to trigger a suspension. But a goalkeeper?
English

Tomorrow’s FW. Baz, @PhilippeAuclair @PhilKitro
Any questions?

@jammles9 @ZelenskyyUa Presumably you think that US taxpayers shouldn't have funded the war against Hitler for exactly the same reasons?
English

@ZelenskyyUa Why should American taxpayers keep funding Ukraine's war when it risks escalating into a direct conflict with Russia, potentially dragging the U.S. into another endless foreign quagmire?
English

I would like to reiterate Ukraine’s commitment to peace.
None of us wants an endless war. Ukraine is ready to come to the negotiating table as soon as possible to bring lasting peace closer. Nobody wants peace more than Ukrainians. My team and I stand ready to work under President Trump’s strong leadership to get a peace that lasts.
We are ready to work fast to end the war, and the first stages could be the release of prisoners and truce in the sky — ban on missiles, long-ranged drones, bombs on energy and other civilian infrastructure — and truce in the sea immediately, if Russia will do the same. Then we want to move very fast through all next stages and to work with the US to agree a strong final deal.
We do really value how much America has done to help Ukraine maintain its sovereignty and independence. And we remember the moment when things changed when President Trump provided Ukraine with Javelins. We are grateful for this.
Our meeting in Washington, at the White House on Friday, did not go the way it was supposed to be. It is regrettable that it happened this way. It is time to make things right. We would like future cooperation and communication to be constructive.
Regarding the agreement on minerals and security, Ukraine is ready to sign it in any time and in any convenient format. We see this agreement as a step toward greater security and solid security guarantees, and I truly hope it will work effectively.

Trump's demands to Zelenskyy (the defender):
1) Formal apology
2) Give up the minerals
3) Hold elections even though Ukrainian law forbids it
4) Declare Russia as the non-aggressor
5) Give up all the temporarily occupied territories to Russia
Trump's demands to Putin (the aggressor):
Absolutely nothing.
This cannot be stressed enough - Trump is allied with Putin.

English

@Slyjoe9 @nazirafzal But they you're an apologist for Putin- an enabler of murder, rape, torture and political repression, so you're a cunt.
English

@nazirafzal Nope, I think he's doing a fine job, and we should follow suit in the UK. Sort out our mess first, then work out who deserves our help when that sorted.
English

@nazirafzal UK Foreign minister and Chancellor visit China
UK allows large Chinese embassy
UK buys renewables from China.
UK sells Chagos isles which could aid China
Notice anything.

@djokernoler If you think it's rigged, you clearly don't know anything about probability.

@GreyER_13 @RichardBurgon Should we have not supported Poland in 1939 then? Cowardly appeaser.
English

However if I remember correctly the invasion of Iraq was not put to a vote either.
That cost 179 young British lives.
WW2 cost roughly 400 000 lives
WW3 estimate - 91.5 MILLION in first few hours???
The mind boggles as to why there is so much talk of support of this war even actually entering it with forces on the ground.
FFS let me remind you, they are not bloody boots!
They are young men some with families.
Does Starmer actually register that?
@PatrickChristys

English

I very much welcome the growing push from numerous countries for a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine. Too many lives have already been lost following Putin’s illegal invasion.
But I am incredibly alarmed by the talk of deploying British troops on the ground in Ukraine and British military planes in the skies over Ukraine.
We should be totally clear that this risks our country coming into a direct military conflict with a nuclear-armed Russia. The consequences for millions of people in our country and across Europe of such a war and potential nuclear conflict really don't bear thinking about.
Given the enormity of such a decision then, at the very least, this should not happen without a prior vote in our Parliament.
English

@thisgirlisonf12 @GreyER_13 @RichardBurgon Are people coming into our country with armed with strike drones then?
English

@GreyER_13 @RichardBurgon We shouldn’t be sending our troops to protect someone else’s border when we don’t protect our own. It make no sense.
English

@Sonny496 @RichardBurgon Starmer knows if a war occurs, he can void a general election
English

Correction, the only sane and practical strategy. Europeans also have a strategy but that will end in WWIII. And speaking of WWIII, our gov must draft a non-interference legislation in any war between Russia and the EU countries as a result of Ukraine war. To that end we MUST get out of NATO immediately. We must be careful not to turn the European war into yet another world war.
English

@JDVance A strategy to give Putin everything he wants is not a strategy.

Liz Cheney: “Donald Trump, JD Vance, and Elon Musk have made clear who they are. Only fools—or Kremlin tools—would abandon NATO, side with Russia, and demand Ukraine surrender in the face of Putin’s brutal aggression.”
