Is there a Notion-like collaborative Markdown editor that’s Git-based? Ideally, I’d use my CC to draft the initial version, then do live editing with teammates during a meeting in a just-in-time editor that syncs back to the same .md file.

When reading data from algod, the "normal" way is to request one piece of data at a time, e.g. one asset = 1 HTTP call If you want to maximize performance, you can instead use a bespoke smart contract and have it return batch data for multiple entities (and also filter it down to only the bits that interest you.) A bit like GraphQL for the AVM I recently deployed this to algo.surf, which now loads all account asset metadata ~immediately, thus making your account assets (quickly) searchable: (Read on for Réti) 3/5 x.com/Algo_Surf/stat…

Late xmas present for Réti users: 200x frontend performance improvement (and you can help) Video left: current Réti frontend Video right: WIP improved version. Starts at ~30 sec In short, this overhauls how the frontend loads validator data: 1975 algod requests > 18 requests ~34 sec base load time > 232 ms ~70 sec full* load time > 1.4s In the video, the current version does 1975 requests to the node, and loads the base validator data in ~34 sec, with the full pool info taking ~70 sec (balances, etc) The new "Reti ghost SDK" version multiplexes 64 validators' worth of data in a single simulate request. The base validator data loads in 232ms, with the page being loaded + interactive in 1.4 seconds from reload. * "full" refers to pool data like balances, not metrics which do not come from algod How you can help + link to try it out below 1/5

We had a fantastic day at @DDDPerth. The MakerX booth was buzzing and we met so many new people, swapped ideas, and had some great conversations about what we’re building at MakerX! A big highlight was seeing our Principal Engineer, Jack Watts present “Making AI Systems You Can Trust in Production” to a full room. He shared practical strategies for tackling real-world challenges with AI systems, sparking plenty of discussion both during and after the session. Huge thanks to the hashtag #DDDPerth organisers for another well-run event. Always great to be part of a community that values sharing knowledge and pushing ideas forward.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at the @UniMelb last week for an evening exploring how AI is reshaping the way we work, transact, verify identity, and establish truth. We heard an opening keynote from our CTO and Co-founder @robdmoore who then joined a panel discussion with Lenka Bednarikova (Head of AI & Advanced Analytics, Australian Retirement Trust) and @StaciW_DC (CEO, @AlgoFoundation ), moderated by Imogen Crump. Key insights from the evening: 💫 The AI paradox: AI is simultaneously our biggest opportunity and greatest threat. According to MIT, despite $30-40 billion in enterprise investment, 95% of organisations are getting zero return on GenAI. 💫 Beyond cost-cutting to value creation: The real opportunity isn't replacing humans with AI, but enabling humans and AI to create value that neither could achieve alone through autonomous, trusted, and economically meaningful work. 💫 A north star for business leaders: Rob presented a north star to help guide leaders on their AI adoption journeys; We want AI to do valuable, economically meaningful, autonomous, trusted, reliable work on behalf of humans and organisations. 💫 Four building blocks need reimagining: Work coordination, truth verification, identity, and money systems are the cornerstone of work, but are all designed for human-scale operations; they must evolve to support work at an AI-driven speed, scale and sophistication. 💫 The infrastructure challenge: Current work coordination relies on humans as "duct tape" for broken processes and incomplete data and this along with traditional payment rails, legal frameworks (built for human actors), and verification systems (broken by deepfakes) can't support autonomous AI agents that need comprehensive context and make decisions in milliseconds. 💫 The convergence opportunity: Agentic AI with proper data and context platforms combined with third-generation blockchain, decentralised identity & verifiable credentials, and regulated, programmable money are emerging as solutions, but only when we understand these as interconnected, not isolated solutions. 💫 Australia's choice: With strong financial infrastructure but slower regulatory progress compared to the EU and Singapore, we face a critical decision: lead this transformation or risk being left behind. The evening reinforced that this isn't just about technology—it's about reimagining the fundamental infrastructure of work and value creation in an AI-driven economy. A big thank you to our speakers and the University of Melbourne for partnering with us to make this important conversation possible.
