@a5oke_ @SelecaoTalk I watched a lot of Pele and a little bit of Eusebio and Best. The football of that era was really bad compared to today. Defenders lunged constantly and were unathletic as hell. The only thing they had going for them was grit and getting away with red card offences.

The issue with ‘of all time’ debates like this is they’re almost always talking to a room of people that have zero knowledge of football pre 2000. I’d like to see debates like this between genuine football historians.

@kolorkorver @SelecaoTalk I agree the best of their eras would succeed in today's game, but of the pre-70s players i believe only Pele would be able to compete with Messi and Ronaldo. All the other ones are just visibly worse. I've seen the tapes. All the tapes. Most of them wouldn't be special today.

@McFlybowy Saka is not in the conversation because he's a natural RW. Foden is not a good RW. His competition is Bellingham and Palmer and there's not a good reason to play him ahead of either one. Bellingham is just better and Palmer is more useful because he's more creative.

Realistically Arsenal fans don’t seem to believe in our team to get it over the line ourselves, so they constantly beg for favors all the time from other teams and go after PGMOL and the refs, when a few minor decisions don’t go our way.

@exfootballfan Zubimendi literally has more open play goals than Bruno this season. And Rice is just simply having a better season than him? He's our best player, our most important player and the backbone of our team and we're in the CL final and are an inch away from winning the PL.

The way these Arsenal journalists are coming out with this false narrative about Bruno not being the best player in England this season is exactly why fans across the country don’t want them winning anything.
