The Greek historian wrote that "it was the rise of Athens and the fear it instilled in Sparta that made war inevitable." American political scientist Graham Allison revisited the writing in a 2017 essay to explain relations between Beijing and Washington. If there was already a copy of "Art of the Deal" in ancient Greek, then Thucydides would have read it too :)

The poignant truth about this US-China trip is this: behind the pageantry of handshakes, state banquets, and photo-ops with Xi Jinping, the relationship remains a balancing act on the knife's edge with institutionalized distrust, where even a lapel pin could be a potential vector for espionage. The mismatched released statements from both sides show this clearly. Before Air Force One even left Beijing, the entire American delegation (staff, press pool, Secret Service) was ordered to dump every single Chinese-issued item, whether gifts, credential badges, lapel pins, souvenir bags, and the burner phones they’d been given, into trash bins at the bottom of the stairs. Nothing “made in China” was allowed aboard. This wasn’t some rogue act; it was deliberate protocol driven by long-standing US intelligence warnings about Chinese surveillance tech hidden in everyday objects. AI generated image but the fact that this happened was confirmed by @Emilylgoodin in her ground reporting.

The US delegation throws away all Chinese-issued items before leaving Before boarding Air Force One in China, members of the American delegation, including President Trump, dumped everything they had received during the visit into a trash bin at the foot of the stairs. This included accreditations, disposable phones, badges, and other items given by Chinese officials. Due to extreme cybersecurity concerns, the entire US delegation used only “burner” phones. Their personal devices were stored on the plane in Faraday bags that block all signals. “Copied”

EXCLUSIVE: Secretary of State Marco Rubio outlines the high-stakes push for China to confront Iran over its actions in the Persian Gulf in an exclusive sit-down with @seanhannity aboard Air Force One: “The Chinese have ships stuck in the Persian Gulf... A Chinese cargo got hit over the weekend. I'm sure Iran didn't do it deliberately but they did it, it happened. And so that's why these Chinese ships are stuck in there.” “It's a huge source of instability. It threatens to destabilize Asia more than any other part of the world because it's heavily reliant on the straits for energy.” “It’s in [China’s] interest to resolve this. We hope to convince them to play a more active role in getting Iran to walk away from what they're doing now and trying to do now in the Persian Gulf."

BREAKING: Secretary of State Marco Rubio stresses the critical need for America to strategically navigate its complex relationship with China: @seanhannity : “You view China as our top geopolitical foe.” RUBIO: “Yeah, it’s both our top political challenge geopolitically and it’s also the most important relationship for us to manage.” “We're going to have interests of ours that are going to be in conflict with interests of theirs; to avoid wars and maintain peace and stability in the world, we're gonna have to manage those.”

@MarioNawfal This is useless. Car fires are way over 1000 Celsius and do not require oxygen. Lithium ion batteries burn at temperatures way over that, do not require oxygen. This demonstration only works for low temperature fires, not an actual automotive fire. It has no real world use.
