Virginia voters have spoken, and tonight they pushed back against a President who claims he is ‘entitled’ to more Republican seats in Congress. As we watched other states go along with those demands without voter input, Virginians refused to let that stand. We responded the right way: at the ballot box.

@wackyweko Your point is moot as Dems in Virginia just demonstrated that a gerrymandering ban doesn’t work. State constitutional provisions are harder to overturn than federal statute, and that just happened; but, hey, here’s a shovel if you want to keeping digging a deeper hole: 🪏

@robertelandrews Great work! Wish it had passed. More work you obviously have to do then. Yeah, good “gotcha” effort because I’m actually referring to *national* efforts for a gerrymander ban! Republicans don’t have a trifecta currently for the state. Don’t know how that was so unclear.

@robertelandrews Phenomenal, evidence on both sides of the aisle! Go ahead and call your representative to get them to work on it then. Democrats proposed this bill and it was shot down by the right. Y’all control all branches rn, but funny how it’s nothing but complaints and no action…typical.

@robertelandrews And I’d expect you to understand wider margin doesn’t decide things, but rather the actual result dictated by the constituents. Misleading would be doing this without vote by the populous. Looking at you, FL, TX, and NC.

Virginia Democrats say they aren't the bad guys, they're just responding to Texas gerrymandering. But Texas's proposed map (+21%) is less of a gerrymander than the maps of California, Washington (+23), and MD (+26), and is similar to NY (18%).

@greg_price11 Hate to break it to you but that is already the case. In CD-2, New Church, VA is 50 miles closer to New Jersey than it is to South Hampton, VA.

Today, Virginia gets to find out if Fairfax will have five Democrat members of Congress that all live within 20 miles of each other and represent towns that are further drives from them than New Jersey.

Today we see if Fairfax County gets to control 5 of the 11 congressional seats in Virginia. BTW that's the same county that keeps releasing illegal immigrants with multiple violent felony charges back on the streets to murder Virginians.
