@muffmasterh @swspurs This was before Raya was fouled …
I think it should’ve been no goal, penalty to West Ham.

English

@swspurs Has to be in order as fouls can have consequences even over milliseconds for both decisions & reactions. Foul one was the shirt tug, miss that then foul 2 is the arm. Of course Arsenal started all this bollocks a couple of seasons back. Something needs doing.
English

@FattusPrickus There are no paid fast passes for character meets at Disneyland Paris.
There are free virtual queues or disability passes but no one can pay to queue jump.
All in all, it sounds like you won’t be returning anytime soon anyway.
English

@swspurs There’s part of me that is now looking forward to being relegated. I hope that we can shift a bunch of the dead wood and the prima donnas and try to rebuild with youth. Find players who are hungry to play and show what they can do for the team and the club. 🤞
English

@swspurs @WeAreTheOverlap Also, people are acting like there hasn’t been a divide until now.
Fans have been whinging about everything and have been divided probably since Poch left.
I remember people whinging last year when we would win games 🙄
English

@swspurs @Lilywhite_Rose 100% … time to stop whinging at absolutely everything and just get behind the team.
The constant negativity just fuels the toxicity.
English

@Lilywhite_Rose The right appointment isnt there. Just back him and send that message. It needs to be raucous not negative
English

@swspurs @dawesy2801 It was the last time I think I genuinely looked forward to games. I felt like we could give anyone a game and teams didn’t want to play us.
I’m not saying it’s the right appointment (before anyone moans at me!) but no one can deny we played great football under him.
English

@dawesy2801 You cream your pants about Lego. Only difference is we were a beautiful watch under Poch

@Tottenham_Feed Doesn’t really matter.
Whoever we bring in will be hounded out in 12-18 months.
Gotta keep that cycle going 🙌

OVER TO YOU 👇|>> If we sacked Thomas Frank right now, who would you like to see come in? 🤔
#THFC | #COYS | #TOTTENHAM

English

@ScoutTottenham This is exactly why Poch shouldn’t come back.
Half of the fans don’t want him so the toxicity will continue.
Spurs, as a club, is well & truly broken, from the very top to the very bottom. A trophy won’t fix it (it didn’t last year 🤷♂️) so don’t think any manager will work.
English

I wouldn’t bring Poch back to Tottenham. Massively overrated. Had some brilliant players at Spurs and won absolutely nothing. You only want him back now because you don’t know where to turn next — it’s panic Stations!!

@SpursArmyTweets @LastWordOnSpurs I’m not saying that we need to stick with Frank but I’m just saying that any new project needs clear, measurable metrics that everyone is aware of, eg.
Season 1 = top 10
Season 2 = top 5 & long cup run
Season 3 = challenging for titles & win a trophy
etc.
English

@SpursArmyTweets @LastWordOnSpurs The issue at Spurs right now is that the fanbase is completely divided and toxic. There’s a need for instant success so, any new manager will get no time.
Remember that a huge chunk of Arsenal fans wanted Arteta out after 12-18 months … look at them now.

Calmed down after the initial head loss from that snooze fest last night…
SEVEN WINS 🟢
FIVE DRAWS 🟡
SEVEN LOSSES 🔴
Mid-table form. But we have mid-table players.
What is actually the issue at #thfc right now?
I think Frank makes some fair points post-match. Defensively we were absolutely solid, they never really looked like scoring. Going forward we were horrific, non-existent, slow and unadventurous.
2024/25: 6️⃣ clean sheets (38 games, PL rank: 16th)
2025/26: 7️⃣ clean sheets (19 games, PL rank: = 5th)
It’s going forward which, as Frank said, is where we are having the issues.
If the style he wants to implement is the same at Brentford - defensively solid, back to front quickly - then he doesn’t have the players for that. ❌
We have a goalkeeper who can barely kick the ball over the halfway line. We currently have no left-footed full back available, we’ve looked far better offensively with Destiny Udogie at left back.
Richarlison has had a good season imo, but he doesn’t hold the ball up or link play like, for example, Ivan Toney did for Frank at Brentford, or Kane did under Conte for what it’s worth. ❌
Maybe Kolo can, but how does he start up front at the moment when he can’t find the back of the net and Richarlison is doing just that. ⚽️
We also have no wingers who are going to run in behind off the flick ons, like Mbeumo/Schade, where Brentford scored A LOT of goals under Frank. ❌
We’ve sold Sonny, Brennan Johnson is heading out the door but couldn’t get a game anyway, and Kudus isn’t that player. Neither is Wilson Odobert, nor Mathys Tel.
REMINDER: This is still largely not Frank’s squad.
I look around the current, available, squad for a glimpse of quality to win games like last nights, and I don’t see it at the moment. I don’t see a match-winner who can just turn it on and produce a masterpiece.
❌ Jose - “under-coached and fitness neglected”
❌ Nuno - “training devoid of intensity”
❌ Conte - “tired of intense regime”
❌ Ange - “intensity causing injuries”
When things get tough, we hear the same old sob story from the players with every manager. I heard someone say last night that the players don’t want to play this football. If that’s the case then they shouldn’t be at the club, simple. Go elsewhere, we’re at the beginning of another project, it’s going to be a bumpy ride.
I think our biggest issue right now is the players we have. There’s a number of positions we can upgrade on, and there is no “strength in depth” within the squad. Having players who can fill in and having players who can fill in and provide the same quality are two very different things.
We’re also missing a shedload of goals from last season:
👋 Brennan Johnson: 17 ⚽️ 8 🅰️
🤕 Dominic Solanke: 16 ⚽️ 8 🅰️
🤕 James Maddison: 12 ⚽️ 11 🅰️
👋 Heung-Min Son: 11 ⚽️ 12 🅰️
🤕 Dejan Kulusevski: 10 ⚽️ 11 🅰️
A combined 116 goal contributions between them and it’s all gone. Yes, we’ve signed Mohammed Kudus, Xavi Simons and Randal Kolo Muani, but we’re asking an awful lot of them to pull those numbers and replace FIVE players’ worth of goals.
MY OPINION: The main issue comes down to the mismanagement of the squad over a string of years. We have players who simply aren’t good enough. And until we get our best players back, I’ll reserve judgement on the manager.
