@eyres_N @AmberB_C @ipaddockapps Some do, most don’t. The additional noncash benefits from lupins, or any legumes, have always been well understood but dificult to value due to may vagaries. On my somewhat longer time on this planet, their value has decreased markedly over time. 2026/27 that may be different.

@ipaddockapps This is a really interesting discussion mic I think there is plenty of evidence for legume profitability - the lack of pic up maybe indicates the widespread cashflow limitations. From my short time on this planet I think people drastically confuse profit and cash flow

It’s been nearly 2 weeks since the Iran conflict and still no info from the major fert Companies re stock on hand , Fert avalibility , ships on water, any production issues, let alone pricing. Absolutely nothing! It’s almost if they are wanting to create fear and panic.🤷🏻‍♂️

@andrewdunx I totally agree the values have peaked, until the next rise which hopefully is a little time away. The depth of buyer isn’t there. But the dips in price you have seen have not been to the same magnitude as original tweet I am sure. Maybe-10% off peak? Any comment?

@robertgrima2 If you look over the past 40 years I’ve seen 3/4 dips in broadacre values- Mid / late 80s ( interest rates ) Late 80,s - end of wool reserve , Early 90,s - Low grain prices , GFC . 🤷‍♂️- Never say never !

Monette BC land auction is finished through Richie Bros. Considering it was the day after the Federal Government gave Vancouver to the natives it did pretty good. It was originally bought for $63 million + $2.7 million in fees in October of 2021 and was auctioned for $22.77 million a 65% loss. These 13 parcels (Lots 1001–1013) from the Ritchie Bros “Tender By Auction” event all closed today and sold for the following amounts (in CAD): • Lot 1001: $3,000,000 • Lot 1002: $3,060,000 • Lot 1003: $3,440,000 • Lot 1004: $555,000 • Lot 1005: $505,000 • Lot 1006: $420,000 • Lot 1007: $455,000 • Lot 1008: $605,000 • Lot 1009: $1,230,000 • Lot 1010: $805,000 • Lot 1011: $4,790,000 • Lot 1012: $905,000 • Lot 1013: $3,000,000 Auction prices in thread 🧵/4

According to Mick Daw on today's country hour, despite the same outloading capacity, Albany shipped nearly twice as much grain in January as Geraldton. But nothing to see here regarding gero basis, everything is fine, nothing on our part. Evidence suggests otherwise.

That’s the one we’ve been looking for! The fat lady has sung, the bell has tolled, the fork has been stuck in it, the siren has sounded and the final bows have been taken. Season 2025 has been one for the books and I doubt I’ll see it’s like again

Big day. Lightning struck twice on a neighbours farm. Almost had it until gust of wind moved it very quickly across a few properties. For a while the only thing we could do was get out of the way.
