Not to put a damper on St Paddy’s day but I don’t think people realize Iran is less than a year away from having a nuclear weapon (and that’s if they’re REALLY slow). And here’s the kicker, it would have to be shipped to a location that unloads on land. Old Twitter's filings used near-identical "<5% of mDAU" language across quarters because it was a templated disclosure based on their fixed internal sampling method: random account reviews + human judgment calls. That estimate stayed flat as their process didn't evolve much.
Incentives played a role—low bot figures boosted perceived platform health for investors/ads—but statements were qualified: "significant judgment," "could be higher."
Checks happened (thousands sampled quarterly), but bot detection at scale is tough; sophisticated fakes evade heuristics, and full verification burdens users. No evidence of zero effort, just limits of the approach.

Remember when Old Twitter filed 15 consecutive quarterly reports with the exact same copy-paste line claiming bots were: less than 5% of mDAUs *THAT* quarter?
Every single time. Identical wording.
