I worry that the course doesn’t allow for a variety of styles/strengths to compete which may make the tournament a bit dull…only time will tell. Finally, ditto to everyone’s marketing thoughts, need to do more in many areas.

@meg_maclaren @NoLayingUp @LPGA @Chevron The fact that the PGA Tour has a regular event there the month before makes it hard to see it as a major for the women - not sure how to change that without relocating. I feel that length is the primary skill valued so you see Gary Woodland and Min Woo Lee excel there…

A lot of chat about the first women’s major of the year not having big crowds, limited tv time, and a general lack of ‘something’ (not an 18th hole water feature though).. despite a potentially generational American talent dominating from start to (almost) finish. To people who have any kind of interest, what do you think is missing? What needs to happen to bring the eyeballs, in your opinion? Women’s golf doesn’t deserve to be written off, because the ingredients are there.
