This is U6 player Bobby, he has been diagnosed with Medulloblastoma, a rare and serious brain cancer. After bravely undergoing surgery, he now faces a long and challenging road of treatment ahead Bobby who plays for Nene Valley Football Club is not only a player of the club but also the brother of one of their U9s and the nephew of the club secretary Karl, making this incredibly close to the entire club. As a club, we want to come together to support Bobby and his family and every donation will help make a difference. It's just dawned on me that tonight's match is the first time Villa will play since dad passed away. It's going to be so hard to sit and watch without him. I'm just glad I sat with him to watch his final game. 😔

@robh_78 My dad died almost three years ago, and I felt exactly the same about the first game after he went. The first season felt very odd. It does get easier, but football is still the biggest trigger for me - every big moment at Villa Park brings feelings that he should be there.

Fast forward a few years and my son needed a football team, and he got us involved at Halas. Always had time to talk about football.Sincere condolences 💔

We are saddened to announce the passing of club secretary Bob Hickman. The club has received many tributes from managers and ex players. Our thoughts are with wife Pauline and sons, Robert, Gareth and David, and their wider families at this difficult time. May he rest in peace.

I don’t suppose anyone at the @halesowentownfc v @StamfordAFC1896 recalls seeing a car key fob at the game today and handed to any stewards or club officials?

@AvfcU I can see the merit in format in terms of more touches, more playing time, etc. I'm struggling with the logistics. For example, no impartial referee managing decisions and parents not understanding the thought process behind the format, leading to increased sideline issues.

Youth football updates for next season has under 7s changing from 5 a side to 3v3 with no goalkeepers. Am I a dinosaur at 39 or is that a madness? Genuinely interested to hear views. 3v3 is a training session, not an organised fixture in my opinion

Devastating news that the young 18 year old Birmingham City fan Paul, has sadly been found dead this morning. Paul was last seen watching his beloved Blues away at Derby County where he left the game 13 minutes in. Absolutely heartbreaking, RIP Paul💔💔💔
