Ardrossan Harbour Company Ltd is owned by Clydeport Ltd which is controlled by Peel Ports Investments Ltd of Liverpool and owned by Deutsche Trustee Company Ltd. It's a privately owned port which hasn't bothered to upgrade to take the new ferries. Despite at least 8 years warning
