What I want every parent to know if they think about homeschooling. You are enough. You have everything you need. You know enough to avail yourself of resources for that which you feel inadequate. No one loves your kid more or has more invested in your child’s education.

I remember someone marveling about how Jonathan Edwards spent 13 hours a day in his study. I’ve never been comfortable with that as a model.
Sadly, Edwards was only able to spend countless hours working in his study because others spent countless hours working in his fields.

Based on her remarks about waking up every day and actively deciding to continue…I’d say she’s married.
If they broke up now: it would cost money. It would hurt. It would hurt their kids.

@jenwined I’m not sure I wouldn’t have offered to help a pregnant woman traveling alone with two small kids. HOWEVER, I would never have let my kid make that kind of mess in a public space either. Honestly, shame on all of them IMO

Dear Dr. Biden. States give older drivers tests for competency, and that’s if they operate a vehicle. It isn’t “ridiculous” to ask someone whose operating a country with NUCLEAR WEAPONS to do the same.

Speeding things up will most likely end with pitcher injuries. I like a slow pace - it lets you talk and snack and enjoy everything without missing anything. No one complains when an NFL game is 3 hours long.
