"But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared..." - Titus 3:4 Jesus is the very kindness and love of God for mankind, and His desire to save us, personified.

On why discipleship is lost in many evangelicals, "...[they] have often fallen into legalism when they try to obey Christ...we have emphasized trying but not training...training comes with discipleship...we have become mere spectators...not participants..." Dallas Willard

Today, we still seem to frown on opulent creativity and lavish art. We view people who create beautiful paintings, buildings, and songs with suspicion. Certainly, we agree with Judas who said, “This could have been sold for a large amount and the money given to the poor!”

This 'pastor' believes that his marriage is not ideal based on his wife's skin colour. Take heart though, it's not 'sinful' - it's simply an extra burden for him.
Dale Partridge@dalepartridge

Interracial Marriage. As a Christian man happily married to a Mexican/Spanish/American woman, I actually agree with @JoelWebbon Interracial marriage is not the “ideal.” Now, like Joel, I do not believe it is sinful, and if providence positions two Christians from different ethnic backgrounds to unite in marriage, it can be a glorious thing (which it has been for us). However, interracial marriage does create a variety of additional hurdles in marriage and family life, from overcoming different family expectations and cultural traditions to a wife’s assimilation into her husband’s culture. In addition, the husband must learn how his wife’s ethnos has shaped her instincts, sensitivities, and assumptions. There are also external factors from extended family that can feel awkward or frustrating. Identity politics still prevail in a fallen world and cause conflict along the way. To some degree, all of this can extend to children and their lives, spouses, etc. Now, by God’s grace, He gives those believers called to these unique marriages the endurance to overcome these hurdles, but unity has undoubtedly been more difficult for us than for couples who share the same ethnic background. So, while we live in a multicultural mess that has assumed that the melting pot mentality is just as desirable as sharing ethnic similarities and culture, it’s not. It’s possible with Christ but it comes with its own unique hardships.

Another reminder that I don’t have a TikTok account. If someone is following, DMing, or asking you for *anything* on there claiming to be me just know that it’s as fake as this photo 👇🏼. We might want both to be real, but they’re not.

The message of the book of Habakkuk is exceedingly relevant in our day - although the righteous may suffer at the hand of the wicked (even though God may ordain such things for a time), the wicked will never-the-less reap judgement against themselves by their own evil actions.

Ecclesiastes 5:1 says when you go into the house of God, be ready to hear. The preacher is responsible for what he says. The listener for what he hears. Go to church this morning with a humble and hungry heart, ready to hear the Word.

The Creator of these made me. He made you. "When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?" - Psalm 8:3-4

9 recommendations for Bible reading in 2026. 1. Set a time and make a plan. Your Bible will not crawl into your lap. If you don't plan well, lesser things will crowd out greater things. 2. Read slowly. What's the rush? Being fast is not the goal. 3. Leave time to ponder and reflect. Meditation is how we chew the cud. 4. Underline and write. Take notes in the margins, circle things that stand out, even keep a journal with more extended thoughts and questions. 5. Identify verses to memorize. Memorization increases internalization. Hide the Word in your heart. 6. Find places in Scripture that are easy for you to ignore. All of Scripture is God-breathed, so let's read like that's true. 7. Pair Bible-reading and prayer together. Do what Don Whitney calls "praying the Bible." Let what you're reading inform how and what you pray. 8. Read large chunks. Maybe you can't do this every day. But what if you had goals to read through certain Bible books in a single sitting? Take an afternoon and read through Matthew or Isaiah or Proverbs or Revelation. 9. Remember the kind of Book you're reading. The Bible isn't like any other book. It is the inspired, authoritative revelation of the true and living God.

A sneak peak into my new song, based on Psalm 8, coming out in a few days! "When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?" (Ps. 8:3-4)
