This post reminds me of the phrase "May the beatings continue until the moral improves." What a poor way to handle biblical vision casting.
Katie and I have 2 children (now grown). There are all sorts of reasons why people have small families. As Christ-followers, our job is to cultivate a vision of marriage, family and children...as to the size of ones family, that's for each couple to determine based on a variety of factors.

It bums me out how many families have only two kids. It’s a pandemic! Do they really only believe they can only handle two? What’s up with that? I know the answer; it's a rhetorical question. I think it’s bordering on sin for a couple to limit themselves to having two children, for whatever reason. At best it’s a cliché. We’ve attended a goodly number of churches over the decades, and since I’ve become a full-on natalist it distresses me how many families have two children. I’m not saying all Christian families have to go old school and have ten kids like our ancestors, but as I told a young friend of mine recently and my daughter as well, you will never, ever regret having more children. You get to bring more image bearers of God into the world, and into eternity, to love and nurture and raise. So, young Christian couples, be fruitful and multiply! It’s not a suggestion.

@JohnnyMarkin You are hitting on the exact point that I’m driving at. Paul McCartney himself mentions that pet sounds influenced the future of the Beatles music. That’s my primary point.
I think Brian Wilson’s influence on the transformation and the future of rock ‘n’ roll gets glossed over.

On December 15 we were on vacation & our pipes burst. Ended up being a $90K insurance claim with @StateFarm (who moved slower than a snail…took 12 weeks to get check in hand). Well…we are finally done. The house is all put back together. Grilling steaks tonite!!!

Today I take the train into Edinburgh (and back) for a document and biometrics appointment in order to process my visa so that I can be a Minister in the Free Church of Scotland.
A visa determination should be received within a week of this meeting.
