@Shopify The problem is because of the Shop app and payment it all makes it seem so familar from the actual real shops one uses day to day. IMO Shopify should do something, refund the people ripped off using their assistance.

Somtimes it suprises me how companies like @Shopify profit from fraud and are not more culpable in how they support this via shitty AI websites hosted on their platform - good eample is uk.trustpilot.com/review/ivy-cam… reporting will do nothing other than cause it to pop up elsewhere.

Heh would have thought with @VodafoneUK having issues that maybe the newly merged @ThreeUK would have helped. But no only via my second emergency smart sim from @Honest_Mobile_ getting me some connectivity on a few important apps.

Some reactions to my post are "wow, I'll never use Ghostty since you use AI." That's fine, I really don't care. But my friends, if you plan on avoiding all software that had any AI assistance in its dev, I have really bad news for you about the general software ecosystem.

@thetimes yet another company lacking ethics. letting customers sign up to subscriptions online but not cancel is a deliberate trap. There should be laws against this. at this point just glad that @RevolutApp offers disposable cards / subscription blocking

@QuinnyPig @Ghost would be the way. @JohnONolan and @ErisDS are awesome people who have built something that 11 years later is still going strong - its open, transparant, no ads, no growth hacking. It is exactly what you would expect from an Open Source publishing platform.

If you can sign up to something online you should be able to cancel it online. Something that @SkyUK need to learn rather than getting their retention people to spout rubbish about privacy.. at least be honest, its about subscription retention.

Pretty sure this is not legal in regard to GDPR - Like who would Pay to not allow cookies when clearly that is giving The Sun more personal details. Its so stupid.
