@magicnextdoor_ @roccopumpkin There are a huge number of people that feel resort guests should be able to get dining reservations at the resort they’re staying at. Good luck with that though.

The upcoming changes to Disney’s transportation shows the divide between locals that actually stay on property and are capable of following the rules and your locals who think Disney is just an extension of their backyard and they should be able to free roam whenever they want.

@CodeBrain5 @magicnextdoor_ Exactly. I’m fine with them restricting bus access at Disney Springs. It was getting out of hand and needed to be addressed. But it’s not fair to claim people visiting resorts were rule breakers. In fact it’s flat out false.

@magicnextdoor_ Again. It was never against any rule to visit a resort without a reservation. And for decades now Disney itself has encouraged and enabled visitors to the resorts. Not all dining locations take reservations. So do not sit here and try to make those people out to be rule breakers.

@roccopumpkin Resorts are meant for resort guests, not the general public. The resorts are also meant for guests with dining reservations or other paid experiences happening at that resort, not the general public.

@SVAlwaysHome @ThemeParkScout Most resorts will not allow guests to park there without a confirmed resort or dining reservations. Without either security will usually turn guests away and previously directed them to park at Disney Springs and use Disney transportation.

@roccopumpkin @ThemeParkScout But, if they drove to the Springs, they can drive to the resort they want to go to. You don't have to pay to park at a resort if you are eating there. That's what we do. If we are at a park, want to eat at a resort, and, then go back to our resort, bus will take you.

Leadership at places like Kona, Steakhouse 71, or any other smaller restaurant are going to see their reservations cancelations go up. I already know a lot of places have 100+ cancellations per day as it currently is, this change would make it worse
BYU Florida 🐆⚔️@BYUFlorida

@tori_ever_after Make a dining reservation at any of the monorail resort loop hotels or park at the TTC if you an AP. That’s what we do. We never use disney springs and resort hop all the time

@SVAlwaysHome @ThemeParkScout While some abuse the situation and park at Springs to go to parks without parking fees. Many park at springs to access resort dining locations that don’t take reservations such as Three Bridges, Geyser Point, River Roost, Scat Cats, Trader Sam’s… etc.

@roccopumpkin @ThemeParkScout I wonder how many that it will effect. Do people drive to WDW, park at the springs and then have a resort dinner reservation? Or, do they just go to a park, go back to the springs, and, go back to their home/resort off property?

this happened in the late 80’s early 90’s before the internet and cell phone cameras . i don’t think it even made the papers. it would probably be in the internal paper archives before the internet. you don’t have to believe me. I’ve known this story for many years. The guy is almost 50 years old now.

No pavilion has ever “burned down” in Epcot. What are you actually talking about?
skatemom@TheHauntedSiren

@magicnextdoor_ I met a kid who burned down a pavilion at world showcase with a matchbook like this and was banned for years. He’s probably the reason they stopped giving them out

The CDC has activated a Level 3 emergency response for the New World screwworm. ABC’s Youri Benadjaoud has the details.

@GreenCheetah99 Sure. But no doubt you understand what with 80,000 cast members not everyone is going to do what they should when they should.

@GreenCheetah99 No this is clearly failing to update. That’s exactly what it is. At one time the queue was longer and they were posting 35. Then as the attraction got slower and the queue cleared out the wait time was not updated to reflect that.

@UncleWalt1971 This is not true. There are 11 full service restaurants inside Epcot that are not owned or operated by Disney itself.

@Zacwithanh2018 @Jeff_in_3D The box is clearly damaged. The box is part of the product. It’s not up to you or the retailer to determine how the consumer wants to enjoy a purchase.

I understand the waste reduction angle but this growing trend of product getting shipped open like this instead of in a nondescript box is not only fundamentally damaging to the product itself but it is a MAGNET for theft because YOU CAN JUST SEE WHAT IT IS

@HulinaVeikko @Jack_Frodo Actually wrong. In retail, any box is considered the packaging. As long as the product is safe and sound the product is fine for sale.

@its_lethal_v @Jack_Frodo Stfu. I’ve worked in Retail 20 plus years. It’s more than acceptable. Especially if he ordered via ship to home. If this guy wanted a mint box he would have gone to a collector store.

@JudyWinslow_fm Nah tbh I think it would have mostly still much come out the same regardless of Covid or Chapek. The only thing I disagree with is faulting WDI because they’re not the ones writing the check.

@TheEXECUTlONER_ @CheriWaller1 If not properly restrained you could be just as injured as on a roller coaster. You are not sitting in a stationary seat on the ground.
