Active weather pattern expected going into the start of May. Snow will continue to accumulate in the Northern US, but for Maryland it means a good chance to catch up a little in the rainfall dept. 👇 It also means that any big warmups won't last very long. Temps should average fairly close to Normal over the next 2 weeks.

Midnight Map of The Blizzard 🌀 This storm pressured dropped from 992 mb to 978mb; 14 mb in 3 hours!!! 💣 This is Super-bombogenesis 💪 This is entering Category 2 Hurricane intensity! 💨 Ocean City MD hit 59 mph winds at 10 PM, then the station broke. Not sure if it was the sensor or power outages on Delmarva. 📏 ❄️ Snowfall has shown a WIDE RANGE. The beaches will hit the 10"+ forecast easily. Inland it has been dependent on The Deformation Zone Band.. 🌡️ Also warmer temps in Frederick and Baltimore (downtown) cities have put the Urban Heat Island on display keeping their snow to a minimum while surroundings have 3" to 5"+ If you have an overnight report, please share. I will aim to get my morning report posted before 7 AM #Blizzard

@collinsvoxwx That's wrong. Mt airy has 5 inches and climbing.

The attached map shows snow depth on the MD MESONET sensors. The Ellicott City snow depth at 11pm was 1.25". The Satellite loop is low level water vapor imagery. Yellow is dry air. Blue-White is moist air in clouds with snow & rain. Note the red flashes of lightning.

@JustinWeather 4 to 5 inches in mt airy. My neighbors and were just outside snowblowing and both saw the sky light up twice. Couldn't hear any thunder because the blowers were running
