The Hawks are waiving Caleb Houstan so they can sign a backup Center while Jock Landale recovers from his ankle injury. So Goga Bitadze’s intentional, flagrant & injury-leading foul on Jock Landale has quite likely ended the NBA career of a young player who had nothing to do with the play. And yet Goga doesn’t receive a suspension? Isiah Stewart received a 7 game suspension for leaving the bench to protect his teammates. Players receive suspensions for throwing punches which don’t even land. It seems like the “@NBA cares” more about optics than genuine retribution. Shame on them!

@Austriker3 @boomersfandom You think this is about one play. It is actually about a long term systematic pattern of dirty play leading to multiple injuries. If it was one or two incidents it could be chalked up to variance, but it is much more frequent than it should be if it was just a matter of chance.

If you ignore that then the trade looks dicey. If you don't, it looks good for both teams especially since Gabe has played pretty well in ATL.

@Austriker3 @boomersfandom He grabbed his taped up and previously injured shoulder. He did not mean to hurt his ankle. He meant to reinjure his shoulder. When Dyson shoved him he said "basketball play" which proves that he thinks this sort of dirty foul is OK. He and his coach should be suspended.

I am obsessed with Aday Mara and the thought of him on the Hawks… he’s know. for his elite rim protection and defense so he’s a highlight tape of his godly playmaking for a center. Easily the best player in the draft to complete this Hawks team

@ShemarXayWarren @Blankogolf @BillShanks He doesn't have enough self creation and mid range scoring for late shot clock situations. The Hawks need more shot creation than Dyson provides and usually that looks like a point or combo guard.
