Where the fuck is this $250 million number for Marathon coming from? Like I get paying salaries for years could add up to that, but that number would make it the ~15th most expensive game ever made. And I find that hard to believe with the game's *literal* size being smallish

If you make a thread talking about how artists use references and that if you're looking at lolicon art, you have no guarantee the artist did not use images of real children or even CSAM as reference to produce it, they will claim (as you can see in the community note) that "CSAM is NECESSARY to draw small anime girls". The only thing that is asserted is that all lolicon art is based on what real children look like, which is undeniably true. Loli characters don't look like old grandmothers or adult women. Despite being stylized, they heavily emphasize childlike features. This isn't the same as claiming all lolicon art uses photographs of real children as reference or traces photographs of real children. The whole point is that if you're willing to draw a line at Shadman draw explicit images of real children, you should reasonably be skeptical about what material the other lolicon art you look at is based on. As is stated at the end, it could even be CSAM passed through an AI filter. "But it literally never happens!" @edmundmcmillen Summon Caterpillar is entirely too slow to pop off/accomplish anything. Started a run with it & still never got to see the moth form. Same for Cumulative Blast, as far as I can tell. Costs way too much mana to ever be useful. I’d like to offer more but those 2 have stuck with me

@lofi_lover0930 Titanfall 1 was scrutinized for no campaign, and iirc people felt the game got stale shortly after release. Titanfall 2 came out when hate for futuristic FPSs was at its peak so many likely opted out of another futuristic arena FPS for overwatch, which was still new at the time

Until today I am so fucking baffled how Call of Duty and Battlefield are more popular than Titanfall Titanfall is BETTER than both and does way more than both so I'm genuinely confused how it flopped

@Lampontheapp @Wario64 Game has big performance problems, especially on newer hardware/operating systems. It stutters like crazy no matter how good your rig is and only utilizes 2GB of your RAM and crashes if it goes over. Thankfully, there's a few mods that fix those problems with minimal effort

Because of it, new players had no raid for 6 months until VoG released, and it took 4 years to get any free campaign. best thing they could do before D3 is restore the DCV

@KaiJustSleep @BobNetworkUK What could end up happening would be people loading in with no gear if their vault's close to, or is empty, as i imagine some people want to progress their factions, which you can't with rook. Some would rather just brute force it with just a knife until they get the quest done.

Marathon is fun but the only thing dragging it down for me is the infinite free kits. I go into squad fill lobbies geared to do my quests and help randoms with theirs, and I end up with free kit players almost all the time. Not only are they useless, they're absolute loot thiefs

@AleksAleyard @BobNetworkUK Also, imo if you aren't terrible free kits aren't that bad, just gotta pick your fights better, and those same players he complains about would still hoover loot, and die then DC even if they loaded in with better gear

@AleksAleyard @BobNetworkUK No free kits on outpost or cryo, or only a limited number of free kits a day before you gotta pay for them could help. The problem with that idea, and telling people to just play rook, is that people will 100% just brute force quests with no gear until they make it happen.
