#BREAKING A former Treasury official has issued a bombshell warning that Australians could see their actual tax rate rocket to 60 per cent under the CGT changes. Around 34 per cent of Australian adults, or approximately 7.1 to 7.7 million people, currently hold shares outside of their superannuation. The changes mean the top tax rate on gains made on those shares is effectively 47 per cent. The Financial Services Council (FSC) said the new method means Australia faces “potentially the highest effective CGT rate in the OECD” Anthony Albanese and Jim Chalmers want to take 47% of your money for doing absolutely nothing. Albanese wants you to be solely dependent on Government. That way, he ultimately controls you.
