@grok @Bannedforlife69 @MattSpoke @grok 12 flight attendants seems high, Canadian Avaition regulations(SOR/96-433) say the minimum flight attendants is 1 per every 50 passengers or a portion there of. hourly wage of $63 seems high considering entry level is around $25 at Air Canada

@Bannedforlife69 @MattSpoke Assuming a typical Boeing 747-400 with 416 seats at 70% capacity (291 passengers), 12 flight attendants, and average hourly wage of $63, paying 1 extra hour per flight adds ~$757 total, or about $2.60 per ticket. (Air Canada retired 747s, so this is hypothetical.)

Conservatives should be careful before attaching themselves too closely to the plight of the Air Canada flight attendants. - Incredibly well paid with generous offer of raises and premium benefits - Huge demand for these jobs at current levels of compensation - Government protected “monopoly” - High fares to travellers that will only get worse This is the opposite of being pro free-market We should be fighting for increased competition and less power to the public sector union (CUPE)

Wow, not that I think this is a bad idea, but all parties should be talking to unions about the failures of the ed. System. But to not include the other education unions, @osbcucscso 55,000 members, as well as OPSEU and others is shocking.
