📍Last Thursday, ICP entered the classroom at one of Europe’s top universities — KU Leuven 🇧🇪 As part of the blockchain course taught by @tvcutsem, professor with the @DistriNet research group at @KU_Leuven, @roelstorms, Product Security Engineer at @dfinity, delivered a guest lecture on the Internet Computer Protocol titled “A Journey to Decentralization.” The session welcomed a class of master’s students in cybersecurity, along with researchers and professors, for an in-depth look at the Internet Computer. From protocol design, interoperability, and bridging with the Web2 world to decentralization and security principles, attendees were introduced to ICP’s unique vision, sparking strong engagement and thoughtful questions. We also had the chance to introduce ICP Hub Belgium and share ways students can get involved: 💻 Bootcamps & Hackathons 🚀 Project Support & Acceleration 🎓 Education, Events & Career Opportunities A big thank you for the opportunity, and to everyone involved. Academic interest in ICP is growing, this is only the beginning!

@StephenMill3r @realtopsmoke @Ledger @Ledger doesn't seem to understand their own product and it's causing a storm on Twitter and Reddit. People looking for alternatives in the open source @Trezor. Do they know Trezor doesn't even have a secure element? Granted, they have a good reason to avoid them.

@realtopsmoke @Ledger The issue is they lied. They said your private keys never leave the secure element chip and a firmware update cannot extract private keys. But now somehow an OS update can shard and share your private key... Even if it's opt in, your no longer trusting tech your trusting ledger

@vivekramac The ability to automate work is great for anyone. Learning to program is not required for some careers in info sec but it will definitely help. A penetration tester who can't whip up or modify a script will remain limited to the tools available.
