@WickedTheodora I had the same reaction when suddenly you couldn’t get ear infection treatment at the pharmacy in Boots. Had to have a prescription all of a sudden. Then they wonder why so many people are fighting for appointments!

@perrigame it is better the leave it unmade for a fair bit to air out and cool down, as bacteria breads in warm conditions.

They say you should make your bed every morning to beat depression and set you up for a productive day but no one talks about how a nicely made bed starts looking REAL GOOD to take a nice little nap

@IamCarrieagain @JohnDonoghue64 I have binged on those types of boxes before. Can’t let myself buy them, all my good intentions go out the window as soon as I hit a binge eating flare up.

@IamCarrieagain Writing larger and on things that are vertical is harder than people think. It is a skill teachers have to learn. Writing on whiteboards and blackboards is a nightmare.

Just borrowed paint so I could paint numbers on my bins until my labels arrive. Looks like a 2 year old who can't write at all has done them 🙈

@WickedTheodora The black pepper won’t make you as drastically ill as the butter will being off, but its quality and flavour will have massively diminished. If you get a new fresh black/white pepper you will find you may well need less of it.

@WickedTheodora Yes, butter and margarines can go mouldy. They tend to have a fairly decent shelf life (in the fridge) but will do off given time, as all food does eventually.

@DiabeticDadUK Sounds like good timing to me. I do not use pump, so is there a recommended amount left before you are meant to change sets?

I had some tech lethargy yesterday. It was pump set change day. Life got in the way. I got around to it after work today, 12u of Banting Juice left. I count my blessings for the tech. I guess it's alright to back off from the #T1D slog sometimes to save head space.

@roiben @LilSchizoMouse I ordered online as there isn't a store in town. I looked at Evans and they were more expensive. I got my bike from Evans but the store is no longer there

Found a cycling group that does social rides once a month ish by the looks of things. Supposed to be for all levels. I've booked onto the one for 24th May!

@IamCarrieagain @LilSchizoMouse Decathlon are a much better bet for that. They have a whole department for cycling in my local store. The other option is somewhere like Evan’s Cycles as they are a brand specifically for bikes. They sell online as well as in store.

Just had a call from a GP - venlafaxine script has been sent to the pharmacy. 14 day scripts fine. He'll tell the pharmacy team to send 2 post-dated scripts for me next time I order. He was very pleasant and apologised when I relayed my experience the other day re 14 day scripts

Trying to be a little healthier, I bought 50% less fat double cream. It was heavily discounted. I bought two. I think that's cancelled out the fat reduction.

@iamhelenwills I have tried repeatedly over the years, but never took to it well, or kept to it very long at any point. I know it works for some, but it does not for me.

Who here hates the idea of journalling? It took me so long to give it a go - mostly because people kept telling me to do it. So I won't do that to you. But have you?
