My student daughter was spiked the other night and inexplicably left to make her own way home by her ‘friends’. Found unconscious in a nearby disabled toilet after 2hrs. There’s a chance she was raped/ sexually assaulted in that time. And two MALE officers are sent to see her after she’s out of hospital? At the forensic centre for invasive testing she was told they ‘may’ find a doctor to ‘match her gender identity’. Heaping despair upon despair.

In the gender identity clinic where I worked from 1980 to 1995, we endeavored to make sure that patients understood the limitations of surgical and hormonal treatments, and we would have considered it a contraindication for surgery if a patient thought they were literally going to “change sex.”
