@AndrewSouthside @HeraldPols By environmental, you mean benefit in kind? The problem is that some have ruined it for all by abusing the free charging by overstaying etc and something had to be done. The prices are a joke and should be more in line with other council areas.

@HeraldPols Couldn't agree more. I live in a flat but made the decision that I had to move to an EV for environmental reasons. #Glasgow have just introduced charging rates higher than some commercial operators. My colleague charges at home for 10p/kW and I need to pay 40p/kW

@john_dryburgh @GlasgowCC Connection fee is a joke and the tariff higher than surrounding areas. However taxis have had free charging for a long period of inflated fuel prices, so can’t really complain. Sign up to one of the many membership cards that offer discounted rates and you’ll be cheaper than CPS.

@GlasgowCC Aye get rid of your old cab for a new electric one and nearly 100k of debt and get the highest tariff in the country for charging it along with a connection and parking fee.

@CaraSlater101 @GlasgowCC This is pretty much all because of selfish people. Constantly see people plugging their slow cable in to fast chargers at Newton Street and then going off to work. This renders the fast charger useless for 8 hours, where up to 8 vehicles could charge, not just one selfish person

@GlasgowCC But the rest of it, the leaving work/meal out with friends/cinema or theatre to move the car, is a yes then. And no-one at the council though that might be inconvenient or dissuade people with EVs from visiting Glasgow for the day?

@GlasgowCC The overstay had be implemented, too many people treat public chargers as their own personal parking space and charger and most are left plugged in well after reaching 100%. Also stops people parking on the fast chargers and disappearing off to work when car is charged in an hour

@CllrTKerr In Glasgow the council opened a charging hub for commercial vehicles 14 months ago and the public hog it every day while we taxi drivers who invested £65k for electric cabs for a lez can’t get a charge? Infact we have council vans sitting charging for over 2 hours at a time

In Glasgow, it costs around £1,475 higher than the national average for a planning application. Yet, we are one of the longest councils to get the process completed and spades in the ground. This must change if we are to continue being an attractive place for investors 👇

@glastonbury I got right through to the end after entering three ref number and postcodes which were accepted and then to the pay the £50 deposit for each ticket page. Then it just said no tickets left. Surely that can’t be correct?
