Strawman = misrepresenting someone’s argument to make it easier to attack.
It happens when someone twists what you said into a weaker version… then proudly defeats that weaker version instead of your actual point.
It’s when someone says:
“So you’re saying women should rule the world and men should suffer?”
Meanwhile, what you actually said was:
“Women deserve equal rights.”
That’s strawman reasoning.
It replaces your real argument with a cartoon version of it, then punches the cartoon.

Word for today: Anecdotal = personal example, not systematic evidence. Anecdotal means something based on a personal story or isolated example, rather than solid data or broad evidence. It’s when someone says: “I know one woman who did this, so women are like that.” That is anecdotal reasoning, it relies on a single experience instead of statistics, research, or large scale patterns. They can illustrate a point but they do not prove a general rule.
