Behind every vessel stuck in the Gulf is a crew trying to hold it together. Right now, seafarer helplines are being flooded with calls from crews asking for repatriation, compensation, and basic supplies. The IMO says around 20,000 seafarers are still stranded in the Persian Gulf. Many are dealing with stress, fear, and long days without clear answers. A few ships are running behind schedule. Some people are unable to move. And those who are most affected are the crews on board.
