Finally got to see @projecthailmary last night, and I’m incredibly happy that the adaptation didn’t disappoint. Definitely recommended, especially if your theater has it available on an IMAX screen.

@p9cker_girl No, it was for a small video game translation/localization company. Not sure if they’re still around because they stopped sending work around the middle of the Covid lockdowns and they haven’t replied to any of my e-mails. Their social media accounts have been quiet as well.

@thomasmarcoscom I decided to get an M5 Macbook Pro for the 3D programs I couldn’t get installed on Linux and things have been pretty good so far. I haven’t tried any large projects just yet, however, so I don’t really know how far I can push it. Been doing small stuff for now to get acclimated.

Switching to macOS for 3D: what if the real luxury is just a computer that stays out of your way? Every day, I feel a little more tempted to leave Windows for macOS, even though I’m a 3D artist. For the past 3 years, I’ve been using all three OS daily: Mac for office work, Linux at the studio, and Windows for heavier 3D tasks and gaming. But the more time passes, the more Windows feels like a machine I have to maintain instead of a tool that lets me create: drivers to manage, random bugs, file formats that aren’t handled natively, extra tools to install for basic things, unstable Bluetooth, audio settings to redo… None of this is impossible to deal with when you’re a technical person, but over time it just becomes exhausting. At this point, I just want to turn on my computer and work, or play, without spending 30 minutes fixing something first. Am I just getting lazy, or are there other 3D artists here thinking the same thing? Has anyone here actually moved from Windows to Mac as a 3D artist? How has it been for you? 👀

Had to take a break from social media for a while. Been feeling nervous with all the issues surrounding Windows, so I decided that I would make the switch to Linux. Took a while, but I’ve finally taken care of everything and gotten settled in. Will start posting more again soon.

tackle first. There are so many things I’ve put on hiatus, not to mention so much I’ve added to that list, that it’s a bit overwhelming deciding what to focus on first. Maybe I should make a roulette wheel and use that to choose what I should work on first. lol /完

For my New Year’s resolution, I will work on both my health and art portfolio. Due to work and classes, I haven’t had much time to invest toward myself, so I will be taking a small hiatus from classes to put more time toward going back to the gym and work on personal projects. /1

If you keep seeing Sydney Sweeney in your feed today it’s probably because the algorithm knows you stopped scrolling, opened up a Pic & zoomed in.

The update basically torched my previous SSD. I can still access the files via an SSD-to-USB adapter, but it won't boot at all. The SSD I replaced it with was fairly expensive (I decided to upgrade it), so the last thing I need is Windows 24H2 wrecking this one too.

I was planning on spending the day working on projects, but ended up nearly having a heart attack when I found out my computer was prepping to install Windows 11 24H2 despite turning off auto updates. I think I finally managed to successfully lock it at 23H2.
