As a Theologian, who does not have the right to get caught up in the worldly narratives of our age, but should always strive for clarity regarding the (un-)spiritual forces that underlie the movements of the hearts of men, I found the Populist Delusion quite insightful and reflective of Natural Law.
The issue is the manner in which Human Nature always seeks to delude itself; to find shortcuts past what needs to be addressed, instead of going the difficult but necessary way. It won't save your soul. But it's pretty good for general orientation and even - let those with ears hear - for compassion.
It does not matter where you live. Wherever you are, there your nature will be also.

I remember doing this at school to design the layout of rooms, but I for some reason never thought of building houses or cities with it. Glad to have come across this!

Work-in-progress. Haven’t drawn isometric in a while, and was in the mood for some worldbuilding. So here’s some kind of keep or mansion. Perhaps an inn? #isometric #drawing #handdrawn #dnd #dungeonsanddragons

I'm wondering if it isn't better though, but that is based on my understanding of German, more than Old English. "Reich" in German is both "wealthy" and "domain" in German. So I see that in Heavenrich ("Himmelreich"). I imagine the OE is heofonric? But the German verb "reichen" is to reach in English, and I imagine that is where the connection to a domain is to be seen. My reach is what is in my reach. Which I guess is also my wealth.

@rootsofday According to the Anglish Wordbook - the Kingdom of Heaven = Heavenrich 🤔
Just checked.

This is my second article to celebrate St George’s Day.
It is a tale of a dragon slayer, but is written in Anglish. This is a Modern version of Old English, and rejects any words without a Germanic root.
One of my favourite parts of the story is where the knight prayers the Lord’s Prayer, but in Anglish. Here it is (as with all Anglish, it must be read out loud for full effect):
“Alfather, who is in Heavenrich
Holy is your name
Come your kingdom
Be done your will
On Middleyard so in Heavenrich
Give your evermore bread
Remiss our sins, as we remiss those who sin against us
And lead us not into costning
Leese us from evil
Amen”

@allyauteurs1138 @tradaesthetic1 @RWPUSA @PaintingsLondon @ericarmusik It certainly captures the spectacle. I've also not seen a better painting, as far as I can remember.

The use of the term "nature" is interesting.
The human as guardian who is the height of Creation, the summa et summarium naturae would be my further honing of the thought as I receive it. Since the Fall, all order has the tendency towards decay. In the corruption of the nature of things through Adam's rebellion, one recognizes that rebellion is the simplest definition of corruption. The body has turned against the head, and made the nature of things cannibalistic.
Man against God, woman against man, the subjected Creation against its ruler, the image of God. There is a fractal tattering that ripples out from Eden.

I’ve already thought the “sketchy” style from late 60s to I think the 77 Winnie the Pooh film was gorgeous art.
Some Disney fans decry use of reused footage but honestly who cares it looks great
nostalgia@nostalgicfile
Why did Disney ever abandon this art style? 😢
