I was racially profiled yesterday and accused of stealing dress shirts. I was enraged. I did not sleep last night — I am angry, offended, and frankly, fearful. My blood pressure is up, and I am beyond stressed. And y’all wonder why we talk about health issues caused by racism.

I’ve heard many PTs make slick comments about their patients weight, and I have seen the switch in patient care when treating fat patients. As a profession, we must change our view on fat politics. We are movement specialists, not weight watchers.
