When I was a medical student I got into a somewhat heated debate with a presenter @TheAMSSM regarding the safety and benefits of high intensity functional resistance training for kids. He said it was dangerous. Nearly 10 years later, the research caught up: Not only is it safe, but this type of training improves bone health in youth with effects lasting through adulthood. #amssm2026
