In this article @EmmaCDeSouza sets out what Northern Ireland would bring to the table economically in the event of unification. Also, I think the economy in the North would grow faster within a New Ireland and would catch up over time :- the euro (cheaper mortgages and business loans), with the IDA and low corporate tax (more investment and jobs), with higher public sector pay and pensions (more money in people's pockets and in the shops etc) thejournal.ie/readme/united-…

This cabal continue to arrogantly defend their indefensible decision, and it has taken a High Court declaration to finally put them in their place. “Every councillor who endorsed the unlawful scheme put in place should be apologising to the citizens of Belfast, in particular the Jewish community.”

Michelle O’Neill has accused the DUP of being inherently “anti-Irish” and spending every day working against anything to do with Irish national identity. The First Minister’s comments came as DUP deputy First Minister Emma Little-Pengelly claimed Sinn Fein was mounting a “concerted attempt” to target her party’s Stormont ministers and portray them as opponents of the Irish language. 🎥 PA

⚠️🚫NEW: Michelle O’Neill - 'The DUP are anti-Irish. The DUP will never change, they have form.' 🎤🎥First Minister @moneillsf tells Chief Reporter @jamesgould23 she believes the DUP are “anti-Irish”. It comes after a court heard Stormont will not implement an Irish language strategy within this Assembly mandate. Communities Minister @gordonlyons1 appeared before a Stormont committee yesterday, where MLAs and the minister clashed. Minister Lyons says he is not hostile towards the Irish language. Last month, Sinn Féin accused the DUP minister of cutting £90,000 in annual funding for a project that helps councils with Irish-English street sign translations. However, Minister Lyons said there had been “no decision” by him or any departmental official to do that. Speaking from the Balmoral Show, Michelle O’Neill hit out at the DUP.

Now the dust has settled.. The reaction from many high profile people is way over the top. John Beaton was advised to go to the monitor and saw that the ball hit the arm in an unnatural position Bottom line is people would hate to see Celtic win the title again and that is all.
