I have written to @wesstreeting about the recent arrival of ten Gazan children for NHS treatment, alongside their 50 'companions'. Why is that necessary? This scheme will result in thousands and thousands of Gazans claiming asylum in the UK. We must have the courage to say no.

🇬🇧 Do you agree that it's simply untenable for Keir Starmer to remain as PM, as the whole country has stopped listening to his continuous bull manure 🇬🇧

Stop calling it “humanitarian aid.” This isn’t humanitarian, nor is it aid — it is a cruel spectacle of sadistic control and degradation.

Andrew Marr has described Reform as “sometimes borderline racist” because the party talks about the impacts of immigration. What a disgraceful way to speak about a political party that’s received millions of votes over the last 12 months.

Sir Peter Morris: Just fed up of all the nonsense.
Is anybody 'really' bothered about chlorine washed chicken? I'm not. When we go swimming, we bathe in it, for hours at a time. No doubt we swallow some of that water too. I think it's a red herring.

Just seen Sir Ed Davey on the BBC News arguing for us to rejoin the Customs Union. This is crackers on various levels, not least that he is effectively arguing that we should voluntarily agree to 20 per cent tariffs from the US rather than 10 per cent. Economics of the madhouse.

Vance is telling it the way it is. It is unreal to think that UK and France can fill the manpower gap required for Ukraine to hold on as is, let alone regain, lost territory. They would need air cover that would be shot down and lead to major escalation. In a hot war with Russia they lose badly. They are blithely whistling past the graveyard. If they invoke Article 5 the US is out. Other NATO countries would reconsider, and the whole could crumble. Just my humble opinion. The sooner Ukraine pleads for peace the less they will lose. Any attempt by macho PM's to bolster the illusion that it is otherwise is to prolong the agony.

@paulafr68963440 I'm pretty sure our late Queen would not have entertained Zelenskyy to tea at Sandringham

@JohnHealey_MP @RachelReevesMP Why is the US needed to be part of the ceasefire and peace negotiations ? What is in it for them if they want to remove themselves from European defence ?

This deal will help protect Ukraine against drone and missile attacks and help deter further Russian aggression following any end to the fighting. This shows the UK's ironclad commitment to step up for Ukraine, while also boosting jobs and growth at home.
Ministry of Defence 🇬🇧@DefenceHQ

The UK will supply Ukraine with more than 5000 air defence missiles to keep people and infrastructure safe from attack. The deal delivers on the UK’s commitment to Ukraine and will create hundreds of jobs here in the UK. 🇬🇧🇺🇦 #StandWithUkraine

@BBCPolitics Do we know why Trump wants peace. It seems quite separate to addresses the concerns of Ukraine. I space what he has offered Putin in exchange for what ????
