New research from anti-poverty charity @Z2K_trust in @Independent today shows private renters save on average £1,140 a year when they challenge rent increases at tribunal. Renters' Rights Act will now back more renters to challenge unfair rent hikes - and save more when they do

Make no mistake, some landlords are selling up and some renters are being evicted because of this. That IS affecting the supply of Private Rented Sector homes, often at the more affordable end. But that is not a reason not to give private renters the dignity of basic rights.
