Google interviewer: You have a 1 TB text file stored on disk. Design an API that takes a word as input and returns whether the word exists in the file. The API should be fast or you are dead. What would you do?

It's 3 am. Your phone wakes you up. PagerDuty alert: 'High CPU on prod-web-01. 98% for 10 minutes.' You SSH in. `top` shows one process eating 97% CPU. It's your own application. There's no recent deploy. Nothing changed. The process has been running for 14 days. What are your first 3 commands? What are your hypotheses?

@ClastonB @Villaverde4NC Imagine thinking you know more about Scripture than the pope. "How dare the church say war is wrong!!!" lmao .. you should try taking a look at what it says about rich people.

The Pope is out of line, and what he’s doing doesn’t align with Scripture—but that’s been the Church of Rome’s pattern for centuries. That’s exactly why our founders were wise to create this Republic with clear separation of powers. I warned that selecting an American-born Pope would create problems. Rome still believes it can dictate to governments and refuses to respect that the Church and the state occupy entirely different jurisdictions
Shawn Ryan@ShawnRyan762

The Pentagon summoned the Pope's ambassador, told him the United States has the military power to do "whatever it wants," and warned that the Church better take its side. They even invoked the Avignon Papacy, a dark chapter in history when a government used military force to bend the Church to its will. So where exactly does this end? If the Pope refuses to fall in line, what's the next move, bomb the Vatican? thedailybeast.com/trump-official…

@unusual_whales Anthropic losing all of these ties, to a competitor such as xAI, OpenAI or Gemini whilst potentially being labeled a "supply chain risk" seems like a pretty risky blow to take.

@QCCH2_0 @LokiJulianus They swim back to the target. Maybe if they were gunned down while trying to swim to safety, itd be a crime, but they swam back to the drug boat that was still a valid target because it wasn't yet destroyed.

@BJWeinstein3 @Shadzey1 @spikesguides No, it doesn't. Read the link. If a ship is sinking/disabled, it's a war crime to attack it. Attacking a boat with no Hostile act/intent is already a war crime because those are civilians on the boat.

Why does everyone suddenly care about a second strike on a boat when there's an infinite number of videos from the GWOT showing the same thing? If we want more contemporary stuff, I've seen the same thing from both the Russians and Ukrainians. Why does everyone care now?

@Shadzey1 @spikesguides It’s disrespectful to everyone involved in the targeting process. They continue to cast doubt on who/what was on the boats. Can say when the missile rifles, they knew all their mother’s maiden names.

It's so absurd. Suddenly everyone is a maritime lawyer who demands everyone go to the Hague. If we want to start playing those fuckfuck games we better put Obama, Bush, and Clinton on trial while we're at it. I don't love Trump but he could say he likes sunshine and the media would embrace thunder storms.

@Pro__Trading A good defense but by most descriptions the boat was blasted to smithereens. The survivors were holding on to wreckage. The video will tell the tale ... and your argument may be correct.

REPORT: Admiral Bradley ordered a second shot at the vessel because the first shot disabled the vessel, but didn't destroy it and he believed the terrorists could have called for rescue and retrieved the drugs. So he ordered a second shot at the vessel, not helpless fishermen in the water like the entire left-wing media ecosystem has been saying the last three days. The entire narrative is collapsing in real time

@Perryville2011 @angertab I know you think you did something with the terrorist org thing, but that doesn't change attacking a shipwreck is a war crime since it's directed at persons, not combatants ALSO includes "Persons ... involuntarily in the water or on board a burning ship": #_Toc480804315" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">ihl-databases.icrc.org/en/ihl-treatie…

Please tell us where in law that’s written. Then show me in international waters were our laws are lawful. A combatant is a combatant. A terrorist organization is not given the same rights as a governmental organization in the law of war. That’s why they were designated a terrorist organization. That wasn’t on accident. If we designate them as government then that a whole different ball game and set of rules.

Apache footage from Afghanistan After the terrorists are engaged, the transport vehicles are damaged. The Apache then engages the vehicles to ensure that they are destroyed. Wounded terrorists may be present, but this does not make the second engagement illegal. BTW, they killed them all. Get over it.

Show me where in the military code it says if you don't obliterate an enemy vessel on the first shot, you're not allowed to take a second shot? Because I always thought the military objective was to finish the mission to it's absolute finality.
