Nigerians Want Tinubu To Continue In Office Beyond 2027 — Femi Gbajabiamila The Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, has said many Nigerians and members of the APC want President Bola Tinubu to remain in office beyond 2027. Gbajabiamila stated this on Saturday while speaking with journalists during the APC presidential primary election in Surulere, Lagos. According to him, the large turnout of party members and supporters at the venue reflected growing confidence in Tinubu’s leadership and reform agenda. “This crowd is out here for one reason and one reason only. To express their love, to express their desire for continuity for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to continue as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for the next four years,” he said. He added that supporters came out despite the weather because they believed in the president’s vision and the work of his administration. “You can see under the hot sun… the young, the old, men and women, they are all here. It turns out there are large numbers because of the good work of this government,” he said. Gbajabiamila noted that many Nigerians understood the government’s reforms were designed for long-term benefits and would not produce immediate results. “When you are reforming, you don’t expect the gains in the short term or the very next day. It’s a long-term thing,” he stated. He compared the country’s current economic hardship to the pains experienced during childbirth. “And like the President has always said, it’s like the birth pains of a pregnant woman… But at the end of the day, when you deliver that child, all those pains are forgotten,” he said. The presidential aide described Tinubu as a bold and visionary leader, adding that many Nigerians “see through all the noise” and believe “joy is coming.”

Open Apology Letter to the Obidient Movement My Dear Obidient Family, I come before you today with a heavy heart, deep humility, and no excuses. Some time ago, in a moment of frustration and immaturity, I wrote and released a resignation letter as Director of Mobilization. In that letter, I allowed deep frustration & personal emotions to cloud my judgment. I made statements that subtly and unnecessarily dragged Peter Obi, a man I still respect for his vision, integrity, and sacrifice for this nation. That was wrong. It was childish, and beneath the standard I should have upheld, especially as someone who once held a leadership position in this movement. I take full responsibility. No one forced me to write it. No one edited it. It came from me, and it was a mistake. I deleted the letter afterwards, but I know deletion does not erase the damage, the disappointment, or the loss of trust many of you felt. I understand why some of you no longer respect me the way you once did. You had every right to feel let down. To Peter Obi himself (fondly called PO): Sir, I am sincerely sorry. My words were not a true reflection of the values of sacrifice, accountability, and constructive criticism that you preach. I failed in that moment. To every single Obidient, the ones who stayed grinding, the ones who defended the vision even when it was tough, the ones who felt betrayed by my actions, I am deeply sorry. You are the real heroes of this movement. Many of you are young people full of hope and fire for a better Nigeria. You didn’t deserve to see internal cracks turned into public drama. I let you down. I am not writing this because I want something or a position in the movement as I’m enjoying private life. I am writing it because it is the right thing to do. Leadership is not only about when the road is sweet and smooth; it is also about owning up when you mess up. I own this fully. I am committed to rebuilding trust through consistent actions, not just words. But I also know trust is not demanded, it is earned back slowly, if at all. Thank you for reading this. Whether you accept my apology or not, I respect your feelings and your right to hold me accountable. The love I have for a better Nigeria has not changed. You all know me. My respect for the Obidient spirit remains. I am sorry truly. With humility and hope for forgiveness, Your brother in this struggle, Morris Monye. Oya come let’s hug. 😊

If you think this is not enough and he should never be accepted back into PO’s camp, it only shows how terribly naive you are! The big and wicked politicians know how to win elections; you can be their greatest enemy, but they will bring you onboard in as much you can help them in anyway win elections. Reno Omokri, Daniel Bwala, FFK, even Wike….. Tinubu brought them all in to advance his course. Social media does not win elections, so enough of all these policing and grandmasters of the game online. If Reno Omokri choose to support PO today, the strategy of Nigeria politics requires that he should be brought into the fold. So, let us be serious and stop all these satisfaction with winning arguments when what we want to win are votes!

Shut your big mouth up, you’re irrelevant. Didn’t you regard Peter Obi as an unserious person ? You sit in your house while you frolick with Pamilerin, POOJA and any other despicable APC supporters, heck you even tried to whitewash foundational first class idiot here. Why does your friend want to come back into the fold? Show me your effort, this is mine . When it’s time to lead the charge to call Igbo men “ simps ”, you’ll be called. Put your money where your mouth is.
Sir Dickson@Wizarab10

Who is "We" What service did you render to Labour Party or to Peter Obi? You sit in your house and try to exalt yourself for doing absolutely nothing. The person you're attacking committed his time and his money travelling round the country mobilising people on behalf of the Principal. What did you do except make noise?

If I decide to psychoanalyse this apology letter eh, wahala go dey o. 😂 But no wahala, make we move on. At least now you have admitted that the resignation letter unnecessarily dragged Peter Obi, turned internal cracks into public drama, and let the movement down. That is all some of us have been saying since. Apology noted. But trust is not restored by one letter. Future actions will determine that. Oya, make we hug, but from a distance first.

I have seen many Obidients attack Morris Monye for calling on “NDC supporters globally to organize” ahead of the campaigns. Obidients need to be less overzealous. Morris was critical in mobilizing voters in the 2023 general elections. You may dislike him or have your reservations but you can’t deny the fact that he was instrumental in the Obidient movement. Not many Obidients have an idea why he stepped down as the Director of Mobilization for the Obidient Movement. Castigating him for taking a decision you have zero knowledge of the circumstances that brought about it is irrational. Ahead of 2027, you need as many forces as possible. Peter Obi can’t do the grassroots mobilization. It is still Obidients and concerned Nigerians who will. Morris is a strong influence in this regard. Having him back in the movement is a huge plus not a minus.✍️

For those telling us we should not call out Morris or be angry at him, read the article below. I believe it breaks down, point by point, how he called @PeterObi weak without using the exact word “weak,” and why he has no moral right to ride on the movement of a man he once publicly undermined. If you were not angry before, maybe you will be after reading it.
