@AdnanHussainMP I presume that we can all call out your “prophet” for what he was without fear of consequences?
English

The comments were utterly repugnant. But arresting people over offensive opinions is a very draconian step and one we should be extremely cautious about taking in a free society.

🚨 BREAKING: Aberdeen University employee Heather Herbert has now been arrested over online posts celebrating Ann Widdecombe's death
English

@Riccoshire1999 @JBDgames @joshpearson180 Take no notice of the septic, he wouldn’t know a fact if it slapped him in the face!!
English

@aura_404f @PolitlcsUK It’s horrific but if we want free speech we have to accept that you may get offended by what someone posts. I don’t want stuff like this being taken to court, even though I despise the lefties!
English

@PolitlcsUK Confirmed: Police Scotland has officially arrested and charged Heather Herbert over these posts. Celebrating the horrific murder of a 78-year-old is beyond the pale. Absolutely wild that someone thought they could post this with zero consequences.

@damienslash Had to check to make sure that you’re a parody account before replying! 🤣

Britain's claim was and remains based on nothing more than might is right. This is tantamount to the law of the jungle.
Here's the opinion on the Falklands by one John Troutbeck, head of the FCO's American department in 1936, which he outlined in a ministerial memo:
"Our seizure of the Falkland Islands in 1833 was so arbitrary a procedure as judged by the ideology of the present day. It is therefore not easy to explain our possession without showing ourselves up as international bandits."
English

The Falklands belong to Argentina, Gibraltar belongs to Spain, and the British have no rights over any part of the island of Ireland.

@No_Limitz999 @zarahsultana In order to win power in the next general election?
English

@zarahsultana Andy Burnham needs to protect Muslim communities, he needs invest heavily in their protection and security
English

@Riccoshire1999 @rothersbfc @joshpearson180 If you dont know what that means, then you have the combined IQ of a sausage
English

@rothersbfc @joshpearson180 Sounds like every match-going ‘glish person 💀
English

@JBDgames @joshpearson180 Banter? He was an irritating little child dressed up as a grown man!
English

@joshpearson180 Why are the ‘glish such pussies when it comes to banter? Got so rattled that you cried to the stadium staff 💀
English

@PompeyPedro Use the outside of his left foot to cut inside then play a diagonal pass with the inside of the left foot for Haaland to run onto.
English

@pxrcywxst FIFA rankings are a joke. Morocco is 7th? Scotland 42nd? Come on. Scotland has faced tougher opposition than Argentina has all tournament. England have been there before. Rankings don't win knockout football. The pitch does; Scotland should be in the semi, not England!
English

@ZackPolanski @JuliaHB1 You have no answer to the argument so you attack the person. Classy!
English

I'm confused. If immigrants are such an economic benefit to the UK, working in vital jobs and paying tax, why on earth would they need to claim any benefits? 🤷🏻♀️
Zack Polanski@ZackPolanski
Labour plans to withhold benefits to people who have been granted Indefinite Leave to Remain. Performative cruelty and total cowardice. That’s why the Greens will replace Labour.
English

@evampellou @kyrosa2000 Let’s face it, you’ve never seen a game in your life but have heard “shoulder to shoulder” and decided that was what happened 🤣🤣🤣
English

It’s a fair question. My point isn’t that there was no contact, there clearly was. I just don’t think every physical duel is automatically a foul. For me, it looked like a normal shoulder-to-shoulder challenge rather than enough to overturn a goal, which is why I disagreed with the VAR intervention.
English

This is a scandal in my eyes.
There is simply no foul by Erling Haaland on Elliot Anderson. Norway’s second goal should have stood. Instead, it’s ruled out. ❌
Fifteen minutes later, Norway hit the post. Sander Berge goes for the rebound with Ezri Konsa on his back, gets dragged down, and it’s a clear penalty. Arguably even a red card. The incident isn’t even reviewed. 🤯
Two huge decisions in a match where World Cup qualification is still on the line.
Credit to Norway for standing tall despite some dreadful officiating tonight. 🇳🇴👏

English

@vbalwantram @evampellou @kyrosa2000 Ah, ok, so players can literally throw opponents to the ground seconds before the corner is played and any resulting goal should count? Is that what you’re saying? 🤣
English

@evampellou @kyrosa2000 But that faul happened before releasing the ball, so the goal should have been allowed.
English

At least Norway will go home knowing it has a far higher standard of living than the UK, a massiver wealth fund & is far more advanced in developing renewables technology than the UK. I know which country should be feeling smug today.

Simon when there’s action to deceive the referees what you describe is Unfair impeding another offence
Simon Mullock@MullockSMedia
Forwards are coached to cut across defenders when they’re through on goal. When did shielding the ball become an act of simulation?
English

Anne Widdecombe be remembered as a “colourful character”
That’s a funny way of describing a bigot and homophobe @BBCNews
