@ellieoftheveil It’s happened several times! The best solution I’ve found is to make combat matter so variation in my opponents’ game plans matters too. Being too engine-y has its drawbacks, imo

@stillman_steve I don't mind if we're playing hardball. I haven't seen it really "click" as a low-power Commander, and it bothers me when people insist it's low power and it "never pops off like this normally"

@barelyRebecca I generally recommend playing formats that make you happy! Weirdly, Modern doesn't really fall into that category for me either right now, but Legacy does. Maybe I got smacked with Violent Outburst on my turn with FoN in hand too many times?

I am done with Modern until MH3. The format sucks and I think letting go of it for now will help me focus on my goals. I'm going to use this time to seriously get ready for Dallas and the upcoming pioneer RCQ season. I WILL day 2 Dallas. I have it in me and know I can.
