@Tigga594 I was with 42 when we did the isles of Skye on ex, I compared Dartmoor (previous experience) to the Sahara. For some inexplicable reason the CO had deemed no civilian waterproofs, so we all got very wet!
I've got some Germans visiting and am showing them around East Anglia. For once, I get to talk about England in German rather than the other way around 😁
Frohe Ostern from this side of the North Sea 👋🐇🐣
@CommandoChef mike, can you drop me a DM, i have someone who’s interested in setting up helping young people in schools with cooking. Local to exeter topsham. Roy W
"If you refuse these fair offers, I must with profound regret require you to sink your ships within six hours. Finally, failing the above, I have the orders of His Majesty's Government to use whatever force may be necessary to prevent your ships falling into German or Italian hands."
I watched @KemiBadenoch on @BBCBreakfast this morning.
My advice as a now completely unaligned voter.
Stop speaking with your hands. Sit on them.
Stop smiling, get more gravitas.
Slow your speech down. (Not to @Keir_Starmer speed). Avoid "clever", "glib" answers.
Britain is waking up to the awful state of a Royal Navy that has been run down and betrayed by the politicians and most of the media for decades. Those who warned were ignored, or told to shut up (jam tomorrow if we play our cards right). Too much nostalgia not enough now.
@ed800m@Buckfast_Abbey@Tigga594@JaneFranklin99@SianVidak I hope you tried the cafe. Also you need to visit Exeter Cathedral it’s awesome. Try the cafe there as well, along the cloisters. Good home made soup at reasonable prices. Check out the 1600 graffiti on some of the tombs.
I said that I must get out to Dartmoor more often. Today I went to @Buckfast_Abbey. It's about half a mile inside the nearest Dartmoor boundary marker. Primroses. Memorial to Abbot Anscar Vonier, hand shined by visitors. A wonderful tree. @Tigga594@JaneFranklin99@SianVidak
