The Government acted swiftly by enabling nearly 22 lakh students to reappear for the examination without losing an academic year, declaring the results promptly, arresting those responsible, and proposing a law providing Fast-Track Courts and stringent punishment for examination-related crimes. This reflects the Government’s resolve to deliver immediate relief while pursuing lasting institutional reforms to protect the integrity of India’s examination system. This must also become an opportunity to build a more secure, transparent, and technology-driven examination framework with stronger safeguards and zero tolerance for organised malpractice. At the same time, students’ genuine concerns should never be exploited for political gain. They deserve justice, confidence, and lasting solutions- not uncertainty or division.
